Should I wait for Humidor to season or not?

Received my Aristocrat custom Humidor yesterday. Had it up and running in no time. Its been fairly stable for 24 hours now. I also received several boxes of cigars today and have no way to store them. Should I go ahead and put them in the humidor rather than wait for it to season another couple of days? Are the cigars better in a "non-seasoned" humidor or just left out?

Put the boxes in large ziplocks and wait out the seasoning process. If you can, grab a cheap cooler or large airtight container at your local store, and stick them in there.

Do not under any circumstance put them in an unseasoned humi. The thirsty wood will actually pull all the moisture out of your cigars, and you really don't want that.

My suggestion would be to make sure that your humidor is seasoned well before putting your sticks in there. Generally what happens is if your humidor is not seasoned fully it will pull moisture out of your cigars and make things harder to stabilize long term. I have seen it fairly frequently that newer members will be perplexed because they are not able to get their humidor up to a certain humidity level or keep it stabilized. Other than a bad seal on the humidor, the main reason for this is generally that the humidor was not seasoned correctly from the get go

To keep your cigars OK for the short term, just throw them into a Ziplock bag or Tupperware with a Boveda pack or other humidity device. That should keep them in good shape until your humidor is well seasoned and ready to go.

+1 zip lock or Tupperware with a Boveda pack or two until that humi is properly seasoned

I have the Aristocrat set and forget and my box really needed 5 days to get to where it needed to be completely. I'd play it safe and wait til the box is ready not a predetermined amount of time.
