Last year I started an NFL season thread, and I will start another one once the regular season is about to start. But because I am an NFL junkie, I needed a fix before that. So why not a training camp thread? The Steelers opened their camp yesterday and I think pretty much all the teams are in camp now. There are a lot of story lines all over the league, so let 's have at it. I know the Steelers have a lot of question marks this season and it could be a rough one for the Steeler Nation. So how does your team look? And will Tebow be the tight end in New England now that Hernandez is about to be a wide receiver and Cronkowski has had about a dozen surgeries in the last year?

The best running back in the league and the reigning MVP asked for more HGH testing to prove he's clean. I love he Vikings and Adrian Peterson, so this got me super pumped this morning. I can't wait for the HOF Game!

Don't have a favorite NFL team can't be emotional when money is on the line lol. I am from Detroit tho so the annual this is the year we get it going has started around here. I think they are looking at 8-8 or 7-9 not playoff but improved.

Miami Dolphins fan here. I would consider our AFC East nemesis the Patriots to be vulnerable this year with all their losses. Wes Welker, Brandon Lloyd, Danny Woodhead, Gronk had 10 surgeries Hernandez is in prison. So if a few things go our way I think we can compete in the division if Tannehill shows up and Mike Wallace adds the deep threat he is supposed to.

Training camp is a scary time of year. It scares the hell outta me, with all the injuries. Crabtree goes down in OTA's, and were still nursing some other Injuries. Watching carefully through one eye..........

Oh I have faith, I just have a lot of questions too. Like everyone else here, training camp makes me as nervous as a cat on acid. If the offensive line can stay healthy, and Antonio Brown can step up, then I feel pretty good. The running game still has some issues, but if they can hold onto the ball we do have some powerful runners. And I think Jarvis Jones will give us some youth at a critical position. Looking forward to seeing him play.

You should be worried, the Browns are much improved and the Bengals are only going to get better. The Browns loaded up their defense in the offseason and will improve. Weedon looks sharp and more comfortable than last year and should do well with Norv Turner there. Richardson will be a beast and our young receivers will have more opportunities to make plays with Weedon playing better. Actually excited for a change as we finally seem to be moving in the right direction.

I worry about every team, just my nature, and Cleveland is on that list. BUT, it is near the bottom of the list...for now. But I am glad to see Cleveland getting better, makes the rivalry better.

Looking forward to watching the Vikings beat the Steelers in London. :) Will be my first trip to both Dublin/London, will be a good NFL match up of old-school teams and the icing on the cake will be some good cigar shops.

But training camp is good for all fans... everyone thinks they still have a chance! LOL My team will depend on QB play for sure...

I am a NY Football Giants season ticket holder. My son and I go to every home game including the preseason games. This is going to be a very interesting year for my boys. A lot of guys coming off injury, or trying to bounce back from a shit year, but they have a great QB who at age 31 is in his prime. All that being said, if the Yankees don't find some offense, football can't get here soon enough! Are you ready for some football!!!!

Just saw that Jeremy Macklin from the Eagles and Pitta from the Ravens are out for the year. I hate to see season ending injuries so early, even if it is to a rival. Alohastyle, I am very jealous, have a great time and bring back two things. Some good cigars and a Steelers victory 😊

I am very curious as to what Bill Belichick will do to replace A.H. And to see what Gronk is capable of this season with all the Surgeries. And the biggest question is what are Bill's plans with Tebow? Will he be a Tight end? (most likely) or be a back up QB? (my guess is not a chance in hell). Did the Pats pick up Tebow because they wanted to show the Jet how its done or did they pick him up in fear of Gronk not being 100%? Either way this season show be interesting!

Life long Browns fan here.

I am a realist Browns fan and don't usually sip on the Kool-Aid. When the Lerner family brought the team back to Cleveland we were excited. Then Al died and his son took over. He threw money at the team, but never let anyone have too long of a chance to get things rolling. With the new ownership taking a more proactive approach to the team I can say I am looking forward to this up coming year. It feels like the reboot the organization needed.

Some concerns, definitely.

We once again have a rookie head coach. From everything I have read about the man, I think they made what they thought was their best choice. He didn't follow the mistakes of the old regime and trying playing offensive coordinator as well as head coach. He surrounded himself with fantastic coordinators in Norv Turner and Ray Horton. These two are going to use the players' talents to form the system and not force players into a system that doesn't work for them.

That leads me into my second concern. We have an aging second year quarterback that needs to prove himself. I don't look at Weedon as the answer to Cleveland's quarterback problems, but more of a bridge to a young rookie quarterback that gets drafted in the next year or two. He needs to produce. He has no one to blame but himself if he fails to take command of the field and doesn't produce. His offensive line is pretty solid this year(maybe the strength of the team.) He has a healthy Trent Richardson this year and by all accounts is tearing up training camp. He has better targets at wide receiver. That is if Gordon can lay off the weed enough to stay on the team(yes he was a risk, but I think it was one worth taking.) The addition of Devon Bess can only help the receivers. Oh and Weedon is going to be in the shotgun more instead of being force under center.

Some other concerns are what everyone worries about in training camp. Can everyone stay healthy? Ryan Miller (second team guy) went down in practice the other day. He was knocked unconscious for 5 minutes and taken by ambulance to the Cleveland Clinic. It ended up being a concussion, but the team asked the reporters to not include the players name in the initial injury report so the family could be notified first(which seems like they thought it was going to be much worse than what it ended up being.) Trent needs to stay healthy this year and produce more than just short touchdowns. He needs to break coverage and get down field more. I think his broken ribs stopped him from doing a lot of this last year, but we will see this year for sure. I personally wanted him when they picked him. I know this is a passing league right now, but I am not a finesse type of guy. When in doubt use a bigger hammer.

OK i am going to stop right here. I love to talk ask Guarantee. I have lost my voice in the real world for three days(I am losing my mind.) If it doesn't come back soon I am going to get a Stephen Hawking keyboard that speaks for me!

Side note, It is such a shame that some of the people I like on this forum are all Steelers fans. :devilhead

Haha...hey brother, I say the same thing about Browns fans. Confession time, my daughter lives in Cleveland, and of course was raised a Steeler fan. Her boyfriend, soon to be finance I think, was born and raised in Cleveland and is a lifelong Browns fan. To keep the peace in the house, my own daughter defected and switched to the Browns. Took her out of the will there for awhile.... kidding about that part, but still. Anyway, I know she secretly roots for the Steelers so I let it pass. Agent, I do think the Brownies are on the rise. Wheeden is a big issue long term though.
