Anyone know of better weather forecast sources than weather.com? Lately they seem to get it totally wrong and it upsets my smoking plans :( I'm being forced to abandon the last inch on my cigar tonight because of lightning that wasn't even supposed to be here as of two hours ago, according to the experts...

I know it's hard to predict this perfectly, but saying 0% chance of rain from 8-1 and its been getting worse since I came out here a little after 8, that's pretty bad forecasting in my opinion.

Wunderground.com is by far the best weather service I have found. They also have an app that I use all the time.

iPhone5 from tapatalk sent was this.

Just gotta ask, are you sitting in an open field smoking to be worried about lightning? I will enjoy a stick on my patio while FL does its normal lightning storms.

For apps I just use the one that comes standard on the iphone...

Pretty much sucks in all ways.. but it gets reasonably close on temps.. (and thats about it).. lol..

When I'm trying to plan something.. or am traveling, etc.. I use wunderground.com .. their 10 day forecast is usually pretty decent/accurate.. and they offer RH, wind, pollen count, etc.. information as well..

I like rain alarm as a back up. Weather radar inputs showing rain fall intensity and an indication of where its coming from

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk when it bloody works properly

No, it would have been very hard to smoke anything in an open field as hard as it was raining! I was under our 10' umbrella on the deck out back, more worried about my wife having a heart attack than actually getting hit by lightning. She kept telling me to come in, but I hate wasting a good cigar! I was enjoying the show from Mother Nature, but my wife was not lol.

Thanks for the tips, I'll give weather bug and wunderground a try, see if they do any better for me. Fortunately there was no need for any of them tonight, was able to get a couple good smokes in in beautiful weather, the way summer should be!

If you are using an Apple device you should got to safari and type www.forcast.io and save it to your home screen (kinda like an app). The interface is pretty cool an easy to use and pretty accurate.

I know what you're saying about weather.com, I've been caught in two storms on the notorcycle in the past week on days where they predicted a 0% chance of rain. Thanks for the tips, I am going to try Wunderground.
