I just wanted to give a shout out to Eight to Eight Cigars in Chicago. I called them for the first time today for an order and they are a super nice bunch of folks. When I mentioned I was part of BOTL they took care of me very well. It's nice to know I can call up a shop and put in a shipment of tobacco with folks that are just as passionate as we are. I know some of you guys are locals to this shop and if you get a chance, pass on my satisfaction.

+1, placed an order with them yesterday. Thanks to inspektor for sharing the source :)

BTW, in case anyone is worried about an "unknown" vendor, they are actually linked to top quality cigars and the invoice actually comes from top quality

Which is also Casa de Montecristo. They're all a great bunch of guys and put on top-notch events.

Glad to help. I was thinking about picking some up myself but I'm saving my pennies for that xikar mayan cutter I'm determined to get. I stop in at 8 to 8 on my way home from work sometimes which is how I noticed that penzance, it is a fine shop with good guys running it.

I just reread what I wrote and it sounds suspect, I swear I have no affiliation with those guys, I just appreciate good service and selection.

Have you checked the prices for the xicar mayan cutter on cigarbid.com? I just picked up a xicar 2 for 17 bucks there. I know it isn't as pricy as the mayan, but with a bit of patience you should get it at a much reduced price.

I have checked it a couple of times but didnt see the mayan. I will keep an eye out though. Im using a Cuban Crafters right now and patiently waiting to see a great deal on one. 17 bucks sounds like a great price for any xikar cutter.
