I was recently in Phoenix on vacation to see the Real Madrid vs. LA Galaxy game, and I was in desperate need of a smoke. So I googled cigar shops and Ambassador cigar shop came up. I did not know what to expect, but the picture that was advertised was of a whole wall of Davidoff cigars, so I knew this place was not some crappy head shop. Anyways, I drove my girlfriend to the mall, dropped her off and then back tracked my way to the cigar store. Holy cow was this store amazing! The shop was very nice looking, the humidor was huge with a great selection, and the staff were truly amazing. I can honestly say this was one of the best cigar shop experiences I have ever had, and I worked in a shop for a few years. I was immediately being entertained and greeted by Vartan Seferian the owner. This guy is so awesome. He talked to me for over 30 min about cigars, the business, what my major was for school, and why I chose it. He was truly pleasant. Then if all that was not enough, I was mentioning to Vartan that my favorite website to read about new stuff coming to the cigar industry was Halfwheel, and sure enough inside the humidor with me is Patrick Lagreid. Man he was a real cool guy as well. We talked cigars for a little bit and he recommended me a couple. It was just a pretty cool experience, considering I did not think I was going to be able to smoke a cigar, much less buy any on my vacation. So I just thought I would share a fun moment for me in my cigar journey, and if anyone is in the Phoenix area, please visit Ambassador Cigars. They were an amazing shop!
