Hey guys,

What are your thoughts on the EH Taylor Bourbons? Anyone tried any and liked one over another for a specific reason? I am looking at getting a bottle of the single barrel but I want to know if it is $70 good.

You tried any yet or are you basing that "pricing" opinion on reviews? :dunno:

I actually have each release, just haven't went through them all yet.

The only 1 I have tried is the Tornado Release which is pretty good. I may have misworded my previous post. Have you tasted the single barrel?

Well,

While out at lunch today I stopped by another hole in the wall store and they had a bottle of EH Taylor Single Barrel for $58. I picked it up so hopefully it is worth it!

I tried the small batch while at lunch the other day compliments of the bar tender and really enjoyed it. I drank it neat in a sipping glass and the flavor profile was really good. Lots of heat but really nuanced. I'll pick up a bottle at some point.

I've had the tornado, single barrel and a few bottles of the regular that are now empty. Tornado is ok, single was very good but for the money I'll stick with the regular release......

Great price... The small batch was one of their lower priced releases at $45-35 a bottle.

After consuming a bit from both the small batch and the single barrel, I prefer the single barrel. The small batch is very good but it is not as good as the SB; the SB has tons of plum, oak, caramel, and that awesome tobacco finish similar to a weakend version of George T Stagg. Good stuff!

The small batch is very similar to Elmer T Lee to me but just a bit more complex and brash at the same time (if thats possible). Pick up both if you see em!
