Trust me, Jeff, it is the meds. I am four weeks post-op from open shoulder repairs. The first 2.5 weeks were tough. Now it is mostly tedious and boring since I am an active guy and I have to be SO careful. Not much pain though except during passive exercises. Did you get a nerve block?

Yep the nerve block worked great on me too, no pain the first 16 hours.
