Ok guys. I had a problem a few nights ago. Was in my office and looking at the humidor. Thought I should browse my selection for something to smoke and take a little inventory.
I found mold!!! Only 2 cigars. It was on the foot. They were wedged in to tight and no circulating. Oops! Cleaned it up. Removed the 2 cigars. Removed that drawer. Wiped it down and it has been sitting in son ever since.
I then discovered that I had a lot of moisture developing and pooling where the drain plug is sealed. Some collects there and some goes down to bottom of wineador. Beads were sitting down there.

What do you guys do to combat this condensation? The room sits at 74 or so. House has AC. But poor circulation to that room. Had the wineador at 65. Fans run 4 times a day. There has been no other mold. This thing sits rock solid at 67%

Never had moisture in mine. But the humidity is always lower in the room it sits in. The temp in my garage fluctuates in the summer big time too. What do you have the cigars in? Or was it a box on the bottom?

Thinking more about this, wouldn't it stand to reason that you have a seal leak? If warm air is getting in and cooling, that is we're your humidity would be coming from. Dunno...
I'm no scientist either.

It was 2 cigars in a drawer 3rd row down. I don't think I have a leak. But I will check.

True. I agree that it makes sense. I know many had done this before. Just figured I might be doing something wrong. The easy fix is turn up the AC in the house. May be difficult to explain to the wife why I wouldn't turn up the AC when the kids were born. "But this is different honey!" 😁

Hello, sorry for your mold problem and glad you caught it in time.

It seems more often than not humidity issues in wineadores are caused by the refrigeration unit and drain plug. If you have a stable(10°+/-) external temperature, even if its in the low 70's I would suggest this:
Access the control board and disconnect the female connector that controls the refrigeration part. Move the connector that controls the fan onto the pin that makes the fan run continuous. Let the external temp regulate the internal temp. Even if you have fluctuations in the external temp, it will hardly effect the inside temp. This will also create a more stable internal temp by not having the refrig unit turning on/off.

Removing the cooling system, drainage, and proper circulation will eliminate almost all wineadore issues. Also, using HCM beads will keep your Rh rock steady.

This is not the law and just my opinion. Hope this helps.

Sadly, I agree with Travis. Lol. I keep mine turned of and use 2lbs of heartfelt beads. I maintain perfect conditions. I tried using a timer with it set to go off for 10 minute intervals 4 times a day. I screwed up everything. The friggin' RH went to like 82. Thank god I'm neurotic. I caught it in 1 day and shut it down. The beads are the shizz. So easy to use. Peace of mind is priceless when it comes to your investments.

I agree with the beads. I have HCM beads. Love them. Changing all my other humidor over to them slowly.
