Never had any of the Opus X cigars yet. Looking to purchase/keep/smoke some, anybody have an idea on where to start?

Any suggestions on which ones to try and roughly what my max spend per stick should be would be greatly appreciated!

I've had a few. To me they didn't live up to their rep. They were good, not worth the price. Look to one or 2 in fivers here in the forum.

This can be true. But, if you're patient enough to let then rest for awhile, you will be truly rewarded!

Until you have an "aged" opus (i.e. 2-3 years), you will not understand the killer flavor that these things are capable of. My favorite sizes are as follows:

1. Petite Lancero
2. Perfection No 2 (magical)
3. Double Robusto
4. Robusto

However, the Petit Lanceros to me always seem to be ready to go fresh....

To add to the above. I've had a Power Ranger xXx belicoso with about 2 years on it that was one of the best cigars I've ever had.

awesome. now onto the mission of tracking them down... (for a decent price)

Will the power ranger crush you?? Couple reviews said it was a kick in the face. Sounds great though!

Personally I don't find Opus to be overwhelmingly strong, especially any of them with any amount of age on them. Maybe back when they first came out they were headbangers, but with all the ligero laden cigars on the market now it isn't.

Magnum O is by far my favorite size, but it is not released as often as the others.

Opus at MSRP are worth trying. They are certainly not paying way over MSRP for. There are much better sticks out there. IMHO.

As said by others, none of them are particularly strong... Unless you smoke mild-medium sticks normally.

I like the smaller sized Opus with at least 3-5 yrs on em but I do have a lot that have 10 yrs of age and they are great too.
