We're going to London!!

Hello Brothers! I come to you today from some "across the pond" advise.

My fiance and I will going to London for 7 days on our honeymoon this year. I have never been to Europe before and I am really really excited! I think you can see where this is going.

Does anyone have advise on CC smoking while in a country that it is legal? Mainly, how to avoid Fohiba's and the like. I don't plan on bringing anything back to the states (just really don't want to be paranoid the entire time) so I will likely only get to smoke a few. I want them to be real lol.

Shop recommendations (including address) are welcome as well. We will be staying in an area called Soho if that helps. Thanks for your time!

i would seek out sticks that have at least a year on them. familiarize yourself with boxcodes, oftentimes, cc's need a year + rest.

Yeah, I have been looking up box codes already to try and figure out what I would be looking at.

Is there a good resource for this? My Google searches have been limited due to me being on a work computer currently lol.

You shouldn't have too many problems with fakes in the London area, however they are going to be pricey due to taxes and such. The other problem will be smoking bans there. I'll have to check with a friend on his experience and let you know.

Aside from that, there are several stores I would recommend to check out. JJ Fox, Davidoff of London, C.Gars Ltd, and the LCdH of London are a few I can name off the top of my head. I've met Ajay from the LCdH earlier this year and he is a wealth of knowledge, especially on aged CC.

Check out cgars website and that will give you an idea of how much cigars are over here. I've heard good things a bout ajay and I believe he has a members sampling lounge in the basement. Might be worth making contact before you arrive.

As for the smoking ban a good rule of thumb is indoors not allowed and outdoors where you can get cold and wet is perfectly acceptable !

Make sure to contact the guys on BOTL in London. The meet regularly, know lounges your probably would not find, and are great people to boot. It was one of the highlights of my first trip to London
