I just ordered my 2nd humi. I want to use this one as an aging humi. I feel like I'm on a slippery slope now. I know a coolidor or wineador can't be far behind now thanks a lot I blame all of you!!!

Why not just go right for the cooler/fridge? You can age stuff in there. What? You scared? Come on man, I triple dog dare you bro! :)

Brother, cancel the glass top one and set yourself up a coolidors or fridgedor . You will have e space to grow and have the room to age.
Yeah id say use the glass top for on deck smokes ... They can be more pretty than functional. Leave that out for people to see and let the cooler do the dirty work

I have a glasstop that seems to work pretty well with my beads. Would I use it for long term storage? Probably not.

For me, personally, my desktop just keeps a few smokes in it, and is used mainly for esthetic value and too look pretty in my home office. I quickly went the cooler route, then wineador. I could see myself falling down the slope very quickly and just decided to get something that had more room because I knew I would fill it relatively quickly. Plus, I had a very hard time regulating the temp inside my desktop humi, the wineador elevates that problem

Im in the exact same boat!
Started with a Cuban Classic 40 ct. and just got myself a Diamond Crown 40 ct that i plan on placing my treasured sticks for aging.

May go to a coolidor down the road but at the rate i smoke my cigars i highly doubt ill need anything over 500 capacity. Im a smoker not a collector!

Just some more advice...Whatever you choose to do...Double the size if not more. Larger humidors and good winadors can be pricey but from what I've learned over the years is I should have gone bigger! Averaging out what I spent in humidors and other storage devices would have almost paid what it took me to build my own. There are a lot of nice cabinet humidors out there that will accommodate your rotation and what you want to age. Might as well get something you know you wont regret getting down the road.

Bill may be angry, but he's absolutely right. Get a cooler, even a small one, for your aging. For aging you want something that will help keep the sticks cool, and keep them at an appropriate rH, and most of all for avoiding swings of either.

Glasstops are notorious for leaking, and for being sensitive to temp changes. The cooler should go in a cool closet, and it'll help keep things uniform and stable.

Use the glasstop to put a handfull of sticks you want to pass out when friends come over, and use the cooler for aging. Trust us on this one!
