Hey guys, I am curious about desktop humis. I way a small decent quality humi under 300 dollars. Mainly I just want it for keeping the cigars a plan in smoking on my 2 weeks off. Maybe a 50 count. I don't want to go to cheap and I way it to be pleasing to the eye. Any suggestions?

Check and see if Daniel Marshall still has the Private Stock humis available. Cosmetic blemishes but the same high quality build. I bought one abt 9 years ago and that thing's a champ. I had RH issues until I started using beads and would get spikes and had to pull the credo. It would hold 70% without the credo for a couple weeks. Plus it's just plain looks nice.

This ^ DM has a section of "seconds" on their site, basically humis that have tiny tiny imperfections, they won't sell those on the site / full price so you can email them and tell them what you are looking for and they will work with you and tell you what they have that matches up, you can get a 300+ dollar DM humi for around 1/2 the regular price and trust me most of the time the imperfection isn't something you'll even notice unless you really know it's there or are looking for it.

Glass top boxes are tricky, most people use a food grade silicone and seal the edges of the glass, they are notorious for leaking and causing havoc with RH.

Plastic dude really? Hmm to each their own but if I was going for plastic I'd just go tupperware ;)

I've been looking at this one, because I like the fact it has a metal inlay instead of having to stick stuff on the cedar.

Ad this one as well

Why don't you want to "stick stuff on cedar", I'm a bit confused by that, is there are particular reason?
I like to re arrange, I just don't like anything to be permanent in there. Nothing pisses me off more than a sticky spot were I stuck something on there. Like a hygro or a humidity device.

Ah. The magnetic attachments. I agree. Also, digital hygro is a must. I don't even know why they make analog ones anymore.

Take a look at Ashton humidors as well. Good value for all hardwood inlaid designs and top quality construction.

The Diamond Crown Humidors have hygrometers and humidification that is magnetic so it can be moved and taken off the lid easily. They are, in my opinion, some of the finest crafted humidors out there before you start getting crazy expensive. If I had $300 to spend I would get 90 Count Peabody, that white finish is awesome:

Of course, I would be tempted to get the matching ashtray as well....

I have this one, it was my first nice humidor when I decided to get serious into this hobby and before I learned about wineadors and coolers. IIRC, I got it during some holiday deal so it was onsale, since its close to the holidays you might want to wait a month for deals to make a purchase. I have no complaints about mine, I still use it today. But if I had 300 to spend on a humidor that looked nice I would go the custom wineador route (although I understand thats not what your looking for)

My wife bought me this desktop a couple of years ago.. paid about $150 in a B&M.. but it can easily be found online at several retailers in the $100 range (take your pick of retailers).. I've been really happy with it... seals well and holds RH.. looks nice.. and was reasonably affordable..

Some adds claim it is a 150 stick desktop.. others call it a 50 count... I have found that I can legitimately get about 100 robustos in there.. but there is no way youre getting 150 of anything in the box unless youre talking about only putting petit coronas and smaller in there..

My very tasteful and generous brother gifted me a 90ct Peabody for Christmas, as well as a box of DC #4 maduros to get started filling it out. I love it. It's the nicest piece of furniture I own!
