Where do you keep your humidor in your house?

I have a wine cooler (not thermoelectric) and it's kept in the basement for the summer months. Since its not a finished basement, there is no heat down there. With winter coming up it gets too cold to keep it down there, so I end up bringing it back upstairs.

Does anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions for a spot I can keep it all year round and I won't have temperature/humidity issues.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

My mini fridge and desktop humidor are in a bedroom closet which I keep the door closed on. We run the ac in summer and never have an issue.

I had it in my basement at my old house; worked perfectly.

I keep it in the closet in the master bedroom now; slightly colder than the rest of the condo, works great as well.

As long as its not in direct sunlight (for the temperature change) It should be fine

Do you have a closet that you can keep it in upstairs?

In my garage where I do most of my relaxing, et al smoking. I am planning on putting my boxes to rest in my utility room in an air tight coolidor in the very near future. Temp stays regulated around 70 in there at all times.

If I was to make a suggestion to you, it would depend on whether you run your thermoelectric on the unit. If you don't, then anywhere in the house where the temp stays consistently around 70 year round.

Ok, but how cold is too cold? I have mine in the basement right now cause our house gets too hot in summer. But now that winter sucks season started mine has been steady around 60-62 degrees. Humidity is fine at 65-68. I was wondering about the temp though.

You don't have to worry until it drops way below that. It will affect your ability to hold and regulate humidity. So just keep an eye on your humidity and you will be fine even if it drops down into the 50's. How this helps you out.

I keep my humis in the bed room. Not exposed to much, if any sunlight at all. Temps fluctuate during seasons. Haven't had much trouble with humidity though. During winter, it stays in the 70's. Summer, it creeps up to around 80.

I have a mini fridge and wine cooler I keep in a large closet. I keep all my tobacco and andult beverages in it. Set up like a tiny man cave. The temp can get up to 85 in the summer and down to 60 in the winter. Looking for a new house though so I wont have that problem anymore.

I need to rip down my old garage, and do something similar to yours. Make it into a garage/man cave... Wonder if my property taxes will go up. Probably. SMH...
