New guy here originally from Miami Florida but currently live in Charleston South Carolina. I am active duty US Coast Guard, prior Navy, and also did some Law Enforcement for the Department of Justice. My first passion is cars but also appreciate a good cigar. Being Cuban American, cigars are part of my culture and grew up around cigars. I've smoked my fair share of cigars but just recently have begun to appreciate cigars. I am still discovering my palette and have my preferences based on mood. Im looking forward to become part of the brotherhood and I hope you guys welcome me with open arms. I am stationed on a Coast Guard Cutter and look forward to visiting new places and collecting cigars along my travels. I have yet to begin my stash because I have been a "buy and smoke" type of guy. I will be getting a combat humidor from combathumidor.com to have with me on the boat and I am also currently saving my Cigar Bands to get a humidor made from waxing moon with a cigar band top. Glad to be here....

Welcome to the madness brother, thanks for your service and enjoy the brotherhood, what cigars do you enjoy?
I am still learning what I like and don't like but I have enjoyed everything that I have tried from Drew Estate. I am not a big fan of the overly spicy stuff and have no "GO TO" brands just yet. This sickness can get pretty pricey so I have been kind of slow on my experimentation. Hopefully over time, I will be able to find a preference. I hate walking into a Humidor and taking 30 minutes to choose something just because I don't know what to get. There are only 2 things I really don't care for: the overly spicy stuff and the big gauge stuff. I am open to suggestions....

Sorry dude, but I have a bone to pick with you. I checked out the Combat Humidor site and those are bad ass. I think I just found my next travel humi. I hate you a little bit right now...

I havent seen one in person as Im waiting on mine to come in the mail, but they look pretty legit on the videos. They use some big pieces of cedar for the inner box. I was looking for something to take with me on the boat and I was sold once I stumbled upon combathumidor.com

Southern California! Im actually in San Diego right now for some training. I have tried almost all the ACID stuff, Liga no9, Liga T52, and few Tabaks. I have tried to look for some of the other stuff at Cigar shops but other than ACID, its hard to find. I have been specifically looking for Undercrown, Nica Rustica, and Isla del Sol but have yet to find some at a shop. I was spoiled when I tried my first Liga no9 and have been looking for something comparable and easier to get a hold of at a reasonable price.
