So I go to Wendy's late last night and order a couple of hamburgers, take a bite to find they are loaded with mayo. Why in the world would a resturant put mayo on a burger without someone asking for it. Same thing goes with mustard, which happens at McD's. Drives me nuts.

I understand if people like these on their burgers, but I would think its the exception to the norm and therefore it should that be something you ask for, or is it just me?

Thats just what they do at some places. Like fatburger puts mustard on their burgers which I usually tell them to remove. It goes good with the turkeyburger though.

Thats another thing, certain locations will put mustard or mayo and some don't, or they do it on certain occasions. No pattern for us non-mustard/mayo folk.

If they ask, I tell em load it up and take off what I don't like. But in a drive thru, pissed me off when you bite without looking and get caught off guard. :eyequiver

I like them with everything and deluxe...
Lettuce
Tomato
Onion
Miracle Whip/Mayo
Mustard
Ketchup
Pickles
and sometimes Olives
Caramelized onions are even better!
Ditto on everything except for the pickles and olives.
Both of which are great on their own, but I just can't stand them in a burger/sandwich.

My favorite burger is at Chili's, the Chipotle Blue burger. Bacon, blue cheese, lettuce, onion, chipotle sauce...hmmm....

The bar and grill place in the building where I work has a burger like that which they call the black n blue... its like a cajun spiced/blackened burger with bluecheese. Pretty damn good.

I actually like Wendy's burgers (without the tomato and onion) but have never understood the tri-condiment deal. Ketchup? Sure, makes sense. Mustard and Mayo? Sure, makes sense and I love that combo. ALl three? seems strange, but still tastes good for whatever reason. Strangely enough I never do that when fixing a burger, but I don't mind it when Wendy's does it.

I'm with you bro! I hate mayo in general but on a burger is just WRONG! I make it a point to say no mayo on EVERYTHING I order...you never know when someone is going to put it on your chicken catatore. :stretchgr

Special sauce is even better.
you can keep your special sauce to yourself, and if you put it on your burgers thats your own business. :barf:

thats a whole new meaning to burger king :king:

seriously though, i like the mayo on wendy's burgers, but not on any other burgers. will eat it on turkey sandwiches too. and mustard is required on all burgers/hot dogs for me. its yuummmmmmyyyyyy :stretchgr

I'll take a burger anyway that they serve it, mainly because I don't think the fast food places know how to make it to order!
If I get it to eat in the truck I usually prefer to have it plain, so that I do not get all the toppings on me instead of the burger. But if I am going to be out of the car I want everything on it.
