I agree...I had a 46 last Friday, and I thought it was simply awesome. The box should get better. Before then, I had only tried the fatter ones like the 55 and the 77. The folks here kept raving about the 46, so I had to try one. As usual, the consensus here was right!

Sometimes they're a bit heavy on the ammonia. A year in, they're good. Several years in, they're stellar.

Don't think I have room in the humidor for two boxes. May have to get a new humidor now. Smh
It happens with this hobby. If you do get one. I would make sure you get one large enough to account for all your purchases for the next year or two. Go the coolidor route if you are on a budget.
Coolidor or an old non working fridge. I paid 25 bucks for my fridge from a guy that does repairs. I told him i wanted something clean on the inside and he could keep the refrigeration parts. Its working quite well.

Per the info in this thread I had my first tonight, chose the 46...def good, wasn't blown away but it was enough that I am grabbing a few to sit on.

The trick is knowing what to get. There's so many sizes plus Hemingway's...

How do I pick what will be best 2 or 3 years from now?...or is this like life, where I just have to put the years in to figure it out for myself? I'm going to go with the general consensus on here with the 46 but any advice on others to rest? I know, personal preference, everyone's pallet is different, etc...

Hah! Thanks! I'm still struggling with the RH fluctuating some. I'm sure mainly because of all the dead space. Most of those boxes are empty, or only have a few cigars in them.

So thanks for the thread, after trying a fresh 46 yesterday, I grabbed 2 today to put aside.

How long I will be able to sit on them will be a fun psychology experiment.

I have yet to comprehend how some of you sit on unopened boxes.

I have 2, so since they release only once a year, I feel more inclined to save them.

If I had a box, I would start dipping into it all the time.

While I do have some stuff I am sitting on, smoke what you've got when you want to. I've found sometimes if I put stuff off too long, it might not be what I hoped. While I do have some CCs that will need long naps, I've found with NCs, for something's, waiting doesn't always help. Though for Fuentes rest seems to be best.

I try to may my daily smokes sit for a month or more. My special occasion smokes more often than not are already aged. Thanks to my local shop lol. Otherwise i try to leave them alone for a year or more. my biggest problem is I'm buying more special occasion smokes than everyday smokes :/ leaving me smoking the "good" stuff more often than not.
