Hello from San Diego

Do you live in San Diego itself or one of the outlying towns? One of my all-time favorite restaurants is Jake's Seafood in Del Mar. Oh, and Pizza Port in Solana Beach.

Hey rdomfoto! thanks for the greeting. I lived in North San Diego County so I'm familiar with Pizza Port. They have great brews! I frequented Pizza Port in Carlsbad often as I hung out in Carlsbad Village a lot. We now live in La Mesa, Ca pretty close to San Diego State

The last time my wife and I were in Hawaii was 2 years ago. I miss ahi poke from foodland and a cold coconut porter...

My wife's family is on O'ahu and Maui... Love the foodland poke, but have you hit up the meat counter at Valley Farm Market on Bancroft and Campo? Their poke is not far off... Its where we go when the wife gets her cravings.

The meat counter at Valley Farm Market is great. I like the bbq they have there too. I usually grab some bbq and a craft brew when I go there. Didn't know or notice they have poke. Good to know. If I'm really craving it, I'll hit up Marukai Market. They have a simple prepackaged poke that I like to embellish with wasabi and sraracha mayo....

Cool that your in laws are in a warm and beautiful place!
