I finally had a Dark Lord, the 2012 version. It was not good to me. WAY too sweet for my liking, I couldn't finish my small glass. I tried one, and now I never don't have to wonder what I was missing, because I wasn't missing anything.

Today I had mdwest Home Brew, and it was GOOOOOOOD! I had a brew master buddy with me (we polished 'er off at a local pub) and he liked it too.

Agreed on the DarkLord... Just one I won't chase anymore. Way too much licorice and too sweet for me.

It's been getting sweeter over the last few years. Pouring a glass and letting it sit does wonders. But definitely getting sweeter.
