Subscribed thread so I can have a personal chuckle when guys start selling their bundles/jars 6 months from now.

I have found that I tend like most tats within a year of production. The OR cf blacks were great for a year and then started to lose some flavor.

Even the brown labels with 5 years on them become light and floraly. Not that that's a bad thing but I think I prefer a little strength

That being said, I'll be seeking the new release out because when fresh and young, they were as close to a CC flavor as I've tasted in an NC

It was widely accepted that the OR cg blacks were past ther prime in 2011
Problem with this is that a lot of guys are looking for strength and the black label never was a "strength" line. Even the pre jar black CGs were complex upon release but never a strong cigar. Im still sitting on some pre jar as well as jar blacks and they are not in any way past their prime. Definitely more subtle but some amazing complexity. If you're looking for strength, smoke a LFD chap 1 and be done. If you want a cigar with a ton of depth, try a OR, you'll be impressed. Btw, the current bundles are good but could def use some down time. G1

I agree, lots of subtle undertones that really pop when you recognize them. I've been smoking through some Tubos that are amazing, and the CG is very good as well. Still have about 12 left from the bundle release. Think I'll have one tonight.
