With the cost of cigars with you man. It would put them in a price range I wouldn't pay. Also DE is a large manufacture of infused lines and they just started distribution to Canada.
I had one of CI's Drew Estates "Legend" cigars and the taste made me nauseous.
Infused cigars just taste fake, the infused part starts out overwhelming with whatever they use and then goes away mid to 3/4 of the cigar and you are left with a harsh dog rocket. Not saying that the infused part isnt part dog rocket either.
My girlfriend is smoking more infused cigars lately. I introduced her to CAO, and she likes most of them. She cannot decide on a favorite. She had the Moontrance this evening, and seemed to enjoy it a lot.
I think cigar smokers have "mood swings" when it comes to infused/flavored cigars. It goes between that and traditional.
Speaking as someone who makes cigars, it is not always the lower quality tobacco that is used, or the ones not good on their own. Companies take pride in the whole thing. So, the pick tobaccos that go good with those flavors, or the other way around. Take ACID for example. The tobaccos and quality of rolling are good in and of themselves. Same with companies like CAO. You can also use tobaccos not normally used because they would taste bad (certain leaves), but not because of the quality, but just where they are. Those leaves are missing something and need a balance, or they do not play well with other tobaccos.

I smoked an acid for the 4th time 2 years ago... that was it; I tried it 4 times and each time it was awful. sorry... not sorry haha
Years ago DE used to make a cigar infused with kahlua. This was a great cigar, made with long filler and the aroma was amazing! One of the shops I visit, told me that Kahlua was sold and the new owners didn't want to be associated with tobacco products. Bottom line is that they stopped making the cigar, which is a shame. I'm not very big on infused cigars. I've tried them, but they just don't do it for me. HOWEVER, that Kahlua cigar was a different story.
I wish they were still produced because i would send one to every on this list that says they don't like infused cigars because this would probably change your mind! If not for the simple fact that you could lite one and women would constantly approach you because they loved the aroma of the cigar!
I plan to try some more of the ACID line just to see if there's something in there that grabs me. Smoke what you likie, isn't that the rule? I say try it, if you don't like it, well then try something else. It's nice when you're pleasantly surpised by a cigar.

Ya your right it is starting to become available here but the prices here are absolutely outrageous. Smoking cigars in Canada is a rich mans game seriously.
The only infused cigar I've smoked are the Java ones. It wasn't bad for the first inch, then the java flavor just disappeared. I did try a CAO, though I forget which one....tossed it after the first few puffs. I've never tried any of the acids. For some reason, I'm not that interested in them or any infused cigars for that matter.
If and when I smoke infused, its usually a java or a tabak. I find that it helps "clean" the palate when things start tasting funky. It is probably all mental but hey, it works. That being said, it happens once maybe twice a year. Never had the desire to light up and try it with an Acid. The flavors in the Acid line just don't appeal to me.
This. I've tried a few and while golfing the idea of a Java or a Tabak Especial seems fine but still you hit that halfway mark and it just starts to change. Much like a rabid dog, I've got to put it down. In the past, I had bought some on the daily deal sites and really at those prices I don't mind smoking half or 3/4 of a stick. At retail though, to hell with that nonsense, theres just no value in it.
An Acid Kuba Kuba was the first "real" cigar I ever had.(read:not swisher sweet wood tip when i was 18!) The flavor and quality hooked me. Acid's were all I smoked for a long time. My cigar budget was VERY limited, so I stuck with what I knew I would enjoy. Since then, over the last few years, I have learned what I enjoy in the traditional side. Now I almost exclusivley have non-infused cigars. I can appreciate the difference of a good cigar vs. a bad one. I will still pick up an Acid from time to time, and my wife loves the Tabaks and Blondies. But like me, she is just starting to appreciate cigars, so I imagine she will move with me to the un-infused side.
