Hello to the BOTL community. I've been lurking for about 5 months, and also have been smoking cigars for about 7 months now. I'm 29 and I've never had the urge to smoke anything, because I've always seen it as a bad habit. A friend of mine offered me a cigar during one of our poker games, and I haven't looked back. I have been only smoking Perdomo's but I've decided to branch out a little and picked up a couple of Rocky Patel's and also a few Padron's(2000,3000,7000).

My wife is completely fine with me smoking and she has smoked a few with me as well. I actually found this site by just searching Cigar on Tapatalk but I have to say I love it. It's a large amount of knowledge to take in, but I have been reading every night so far. My wife has been trying to get me to buy a humidor for the house, but I don't know if I'm ready for that step just yet. I'll stick to the tupperware for now. I am a used car salesman, and my job has me working crazy hours, so I honestly don't smoke as much as I would like to. I just wanted to introduce myself and continue to learn as much as I can.

Welcome to Botl for AZ! If you wife is telling you to buy a humi lol don't look back and go for it ! There's a lot of knowledge here so enjoy !

You're in B'Ham so your prob a Bama fan but War Eagle and enjoy, I've been at it about the same amount of time as you so I'll be on the journey with you.

Welcome from another Alabamian. Best advice for you is to skip the humidor and start a coolerdor.

Oh yeah, and what he said...that or just a tupperdore to start out with.

Also, can I please have your wife talk to mine? She sounds like a keeper, good job.

She is a great woman, and I try to tell her that everyday.

On Wednesday I found a great cigar/bar lounge by my house. I actually sat and talked to everyone for about 3 hours. It was pretty nice and a great environment. I learned a lot about cigars, and just everyone's ritual and whatnot. That will probably be my new hangout spot for a while. Their humidor just overwhelms me with the amount of cigars they have. I made the mistake of asking everyone what their favorite go to cigar was, and that lead to a very long discussion that I got nothing out of, lol. I'm just going to start going completely random with picking something.
