Nope haven't smoked it yet but I will. I have been getting my butt whooped by a flu bug lately. I will give it a try once I get in tip top shape.

Haven't forgot about my end, David. Been busy with work/life & dealing with 10 inches of snow & -10 degree weather. I'll get something out to you soon.

Brother it's no big deal at all. Whenever or never doesn't matter. My stash is doing nothing but growing in this cold anyway.

Sorry didn't see this earlier. They used to have emerald which was decent, and espresso which was decent. I think all they have now is the regular el mejor I'm referring to and a different blend of espresso. I say different because it's not boxes pressed like the old one and doesn't appear to be a dyed wrapper, which the old one definitely was.

But to answer your question the regular el mejor (the 68) is much much better than the emerald IMO.

Okay, Kantucky

I know it's been awhile brohamity but I saw this in the humidor and lit her up. I can definitely see the similarities in the two blends. I don't know if it's the same blend with just different tobacco or what but I do see similarities. I like the Padilla much better but for the price this is a pretty good smoke for the money and I am enjoying it. I may pick some up to smoke once in awhile.
Thank you for the trade again. ;)

Thanks for the info, I was and am a big Padilla fan. My first box purchase was a box of Miami torpedo and more recently a box of each of the newer blends. I highly recommend the 8&11 maduros.

Btw - Love the screen name. I don't know why I didn't think of that one myself. ;)

Rex is my middle name, which I loved so original. The screename has been my gamertag on Xbox and so many other things.

Holy resurrection Batman!

Soooooo.... I had one El Mejor left from almost a 9 months ago now. I am really curious if @thejavaman still has one left to try. I grabbed it today to smoke a cigar with the family and it aged very well from what it was like when I had it. I honestly can see the definite resemblance now. I may be full of crap but I may buy a box to stick away and just see.
