I have lost this knife before and yes I have only paid $12 for it but it sucks because it is an EDC. I was at work and used my knife to cut open a box and then I stuck the knife into the side of a box and walked away only to realize it hours late but by then the boxes were gone and so was the knife. Hopefully you find it. That sucks!

I lost a really awesome Gerber boot knife many years ago. Never was the same. Havent had a knife since. I do always have a pen and lighter in the car as well as a very slim cigar cutter.

I lose microfiber cloths a day after I buy them. It is incredibly annoying.
But they are all just objects. Why exactly would you need a knife anyway out of curiosity?
it's just a guy thing? my dad always had a decent blade, a full lighter, and a functional pen, on him at all times. just part of what I learned about being a dude.
Same thing with me, my dad always had a pocketknife with him. And I have worked in the cargo parachute world for the last seven years and you always need a knife when you are that world.

Spot on! My work supplies Husky blades and they are JUNK!! Spend the extra couple bucks and save a ton of money not replacing those husky's every other week.

Unfortunately I can't keep up with knives that well. I've bought some really great knives and I have no idea where they are now. I think I'll start carrying a SOG tomahawk so I can't lose it. Ha!

What's a good entry level EDC I've been buying 5 dollar ones from the liquor store think I'm ready for the real thing. Didn't wanna thread jack but didn't make sense to start one and a convo is ongoing.

I'd go with a Buck. They are good quality and American made.

No worries Tony. Seems like a natural transition. Do you want a straight blade or folding?
Folding for a first
I have a lot of knives. This is my favorite for an edc knife. I have carried it every day for about two years now. Its super light weight and is about 17$ if you lose it. You won't cry. It's AUS-8 steel so it holds a hair popping edge for a very long time. I've done everything you can think of with this little blade. Including gut and butcher two pigs. And pry a tailgate off a truck at a junk yard. Not to mention everyday stuff like cut boxes and food and shave with it. It comes in a few different colors. It's the Ka-Bar Dozier hunter.

If you want something a little more cool looking check out the spyderco tenacious. It's a decent little folder with a nice look, steel isn't the best but it's comfortable to carry and is a great size for edc. Runs about 30$

Did you say shave?
Yup. I have shaved with almost all my knives. But that one in Particular has been used to shave countless times lol.
How do you get it so sharp?
I use a set of 3 Arkansas stones then a super fine dmt diamond stone for one sharpening. Sometimes I'll do it again depending on how often I use the knife. Then I just maintain the edge regularly with a diamond rod or strop or both. If you ever have anything you want sharpened and don't want to do it yourself you can always send em my way. It's my favorite way to de stress.

I have a stone I found at a yard sale in a box of metal lathe junk that I paid .50 cents for. At first I thought it was black Arkansas but now I'm not so sure.

On the bottom is a piece of paper glued to it and someone wrote 1926 on it. It's the smoothest stone I've ever felt. Smooth as glass.
