Snap-On's the best, Craftsman is the easiest to find and still pretty darned good. Dewalt makes darned good tools but I've never tried one of those from them.

I prefer Craftsman and Ridgid as far as hand tools go, and I have the Miluakee battery set, complete with trim saw, sawzall, light, and drill.

One of the batterys is dead, but it was about 2 years of heavy use, so I am not at all upset.

If it's critical, I use Snap-On.

If it's a crappy hand tool, I use Craftsman because I know if (when) I break it, I can take it back to SEARS and get a replacement...assuming I can fight past my natural urge to vommit anytime I'm near a mall.

For a multi screwdriver, hard to go wrong with Craftsman. Price is right most times and the lifetime warranty seals the deal for me. SnapOn I always thought was more of a professional grade that I as harry homeowner did not need. I avoid the really cheap stuff when it comes to hand tools.

Man, Snap-On is a bad-ass tool company for the pros.

They used to come by the motor-pool in the Army once a month with this big ol' motor-home type truck filled with tools, like a store on wheels. it was almost like the ice cream truck when we were kids...just it's for adult mechanics.

The technician I was working with in June had a Snap-On tool chest/cart. Each drawer had a quarter inch think sheet of rigid foam/rubber with the shape of each tool laser cut into it. Every tool, from the largest wrench to the smallest socket had it's own hole or cut out. It was bad-ass!

my favorite tools are the one's used at Avondale Jeep! They seem to do a fine job.

Actually, I keep a full set of Craftsman here at home in case I need to throw them at an intruder! Also, my wife is quite handy to have around the house.
