I am not sure where to post this, so I decided to post it in this area. Please move if needed.

I really needed to give thanks for a moment.

I originally signed up with BoTL when I was new to joining a cigar forum. I have been apart of non-cigar forums and expected the same here.

I really did not understand the dynamics of this community. Since I signed up with BoTL, I was a little anxious to buy, sell and trade and treat this as another cold forum with no care to meet others.

I read an article about a brother who's wife had Thyroid Cancer and he decided to post his struggles. I saw the reponses and support from everyone and I was taken back a bit. I never saw this really before. (yes I am a noob I guess). I was broken over the post as well as warmed by the reponses. I too am married and I love my wife dearly so this hit home with me.

I NEVER would have expected anyone to welcome me and treat me as I have been treated here at BoTL. I expected my transactions to fairly well, but the people I have interacted did more that be just fair. They went above and beyond. Almost like superior customer service with a free gift here and there. I am still blown away.

I have been taught, guided and given advice in ways I can only explain as warm, authentic and respectful. It's amazing how everyone takes care of everyone else here.

I am honored and grateful for all of you.

I'm glad that you've found yourself comfort in the community. I as a Newb look forward to the same. So far it's been nothing but good things brother! Thanks for sharing your sentiments.

Thank you! This community has been awesome. I look forward to meeting some of the brothers in the near future too at a herf or B&M event.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts! I am glad that you have found this to be more than a post and sell forum; there are a lot of people here that work very hard to make this more than just a forum.

I think you will find that the longer you are here and the more you put into this place, the more you will get out of it. I'm not talking just good smokes (although those come too), but rather the excitement, joy, and friendship that this place brings!

Nicely written!

It's really easy for me to forget that I've only been here for just over three months. In that very short time, I've met a bunch of great people online who I already consider "friends", met up with a brother last week for an impromptu herf, met (and talked with) other brothers who have shared some of the same hardships in life that I have, and learned a lot.

In fact, I had just gotten into cigars when I joined with my "Ziplock-dor". Three months later, I have to move to a coolidor and I feel comfortable doing so because of the eagerness of the guys here to share information.

Welcome to BoTL and the mayhem. Problemcauser, oops, Problemsolver is right - the more you participate, the more fun you'll have.

Nice of you to take the time to praise BOTL :)

This is definitely a people first type of forum, where many issues take front stage over cigars, which is as it should be.

I came for the smokes.

Stayed for the brotherhood.

We really do have an amazing place here. And while I'm still a newb. I've never been so openly accepted in a community the way this place has taken me in
