Good afternoon everyone. This is my first official post besides the intro post.

So i recently got the ok from the wife that it would ok to turn the closet space underneath yhe basement stairs into a cigar and wine -ador. Has anyone ever done this that can give tips on sealing it properly. Where materials were bought? Did you use spanish cedar veneer or 1/4" or did you use mahogany? Flooring type? How did you seal the door?

Any info or link would be awesome!!

Thanks Gabe

Not sure I understand the question? I use the wine cellar as a wine cellar, but the same principles for building a wine cellar apply to building a walk-in humidor. To maintain proper humidity you want to have a tight seal and a vapor barrier to prevent mold & mildew.

Thanks. This "cellar" showed up in 32 boxes and was nothing more than a bunch of sticks with general directions for assembly which were absolutely no help. It took my wife and I three full weekends to assemble and wondered the whole time "how the hell are these sticks going to hold all the weight of the wine". Thankfully we've had no issues, but as you can tell its less than one third full.
