Do any botls have "the gift"?

I'm gonna go wayyyy off subject for the board, fair warning...

I'm curious if any other brothers on here have "the gift"- ie you have psychic abilities and/or have abilities to communicate with "the other side". I'm not going to go into too much detail, at least initially. But psychic tendencies really do run in my family and I've had experiences all my life which let me know I have some abilities myself. More recently (last 3 years) I have had a few ghostly experiences that lead me to believe I may be able to communicate, or at least interact with, the dead. I'm not trying to start ghost story hour here, but I'd be willing to share some experiences if prodded about it. I don't want folks to think I'm crazy though. My grandmother was 100% psychic and had amazing abilities to talk to the other side- stories of her that I witnessed are way better than my own.

Long story short, I'm seeking out anybody who has abilities. How did you hoan your craft? Is there a book I need to read? I'd be very interested in hearing how, if anyone has experience, you elevated your "gift".

By all means, and for the sake of none of us looking too cookoo, feel free to discuss via pm. I've just had a couple of experiences as of late that have led me to wanting to find out more and to see if what I thought was a mild case might be something more. So I'm looking for a pointer or two if anyone has one.

Or a cool ghost story because who doesn't love those.

Nothing crazy about it. Entire cultures see ghosts on a daily basis. It's just not large in standard American culture.

I've got nothing in terms of honing your skills. But, we are currently working with the culture aspect of it in one of my classes... mostly pertaining to the supposed "mind-body split."

Well I've had psychic abilities all my life that I've never really explored. Stupid stuff- like being able to tell what color shirt you're wearing. But more significant powers run in my family in a major way.

I've not seen ghosts all my life- but I've seen my fair share in the last few years. And one that was someone I knew, very recently, which has led to the reason I started this thread in the first place.

if the abilities run in your family and you are seeking other to help you, why not just ask your family?



and Ryan (alohastyle), your mother saying you are special doesn't count :)

It runs on my dad's side of the family. He doesn't talk about such things, and wouldn't. I don't even know if he has it or not. I know my brother doesn't. And everyone else is dead.

Nope. But I've alway thought I am being haunted. When I was a kid I had an imaginary friend named Michael Barnabus. I guess I used to describe him as wearing an old suit and top hat. One day I told my mom that he told me not to talk about him or people would think I was bad. My mom thought that maybe he was a real person. Like a child predator so she did some research. Michael Barnabus was the original owner of the house we lived in who had died 40 years prior. Buried "wearing his favorite top hat." According to whatever she found in the newspaper. From time to time I've had some strange dreams where I'd be talking to him and he'd give me advise. Then nothing for like 4 years. Then around the time my son was born I had a dream where he told me that I wouldn't be hearing from him anymore because I didn't need him, but that he'd keep an eye on Ayden (my son) for me. I finally worked up the courage to tell my girlfriend after a like 8 months hoping she wouldn't think I was insane. She told she had a dream two days before where a man in a top hat stopped her and asked her how she was doing and introduced himself as Michael. And said he'd be around if she needed any help with the baby and for her to keep an eye on me because I'm prone to mischief.

I have had a lot of experience and it runs in my family as well. My grandmother saw them as if they were normal people walking about. I have had multiple experiences with family at well as the same time so I know it wasn't my imagination.

The most recent one I had with my wife after my father passed. My nephew learned how to spell the word cat and was saying it and writing it all day. The next morning my wife and I were sleeping and heard someone yelling the word cat. I was a little scared to say the least. If you ever want to talk please PM me and I will give you my number. My family has dealt with it for years.

Unfortunately, as a Christian, we are unable to believe in such things ourselves outside of spiritual gifts. So I thus don't have any paranormal powers nor am I a spiritually empowered person.

That being said, it would be interesting to do such things, so if you find reason to feel you can, maybe you''ve been blessed?

Edit: I removed my remark towards congregation size because it was misinterpretable and I didn't like that. But suffice it to say, I'm sure there are large groups on the other side of this field that believe in such things, so there are probably people you could get mentorship from perhaps.

I'm not a believer in ghosts and such but this was just f'n creepy! I got the chills reading it!!
