Smoke CCs :) Thank goodness I have enough cigars to last me two life times. Seriously though, I do feel like our rights as cigar smokers have been going the way of the dinosaurs. When they try take away the right to smoke in my own backyard is when I'll go bad shit crazy. This guys sounds way intense in the video but I would be if my livelihood was tied to tobacco legislation.

I'd like to see what the FDA is actually proposing. There seems to be a lot of conjecture here. Banning mail order? Banning walk-in humidors? Where's that written on an FDA (or .gov) website?

The music & images are... let's say a trifle over the top? Carpet bombing and drone surveillance? I'm all for protecting our right to pursue a self-destructive hobby under circumstances that don't harm anyone else but us ;) But these images really confuse the issue and make it seem like some crazy right-wing conspiracy theorist stuff.

Let's keep it about cigars, and the facts.

Nothing to you personally but,

I'm sick of posts like this. How about you try google before you jump in bashing someone's post. You want to see where it says it do some research. If you become confused about issues from a few images in a YouTube video that's your own problem. The images are used to draw you in so you listen to his words. It's marketing. You want people that aren't into cigars to support the cause you keep them interested while you talk about it. You don't drone on in boring ass video when your trying to capture an audience.

Here's your facts. Try to look into something before you bash another's post.

I have been a member of the CRA for the past two years and I encourage anybody on the fence joining, it's a small price to pay In my belief. they make it real easy for you to contact your federal and state reps, I'm talking like copy and paste. I was introduced to cigars by a CRA ambassador and fell in love with cigars cuz of this forum.

Because the FDA's video's aren't over the top...

The rule submitted to the OMB today is a rule allowing the previously passed Tobacco Control Act. This is the act that the FDA has used to ban the advertising of cigarettes, to control the blending and nicotine content of cigarettes, banned the internet and phone mail order sale of cigarettes, limiting packaging "art", and the list goes on.

What gives you any reason to believe that subjecting Cigars to the TCA would be any less intrusive that what the FDA did to cigarettes?

This is a place for the advancement and enjoyment of cigars. If you want to troll, please do so elsewhere.

the FDA had been trying to put cigars, pipe tobacco, and other I'll say "exotic" in the same pot as cigarettes. not only will they try to take away where we can smoke but also tax us as much or more than cigarettes... man, now I sound intense, I'm done I need a cigar

PA Senator Pat Toomey visits Cigars International to defend our cigar rights and show his support to exclude large, premium cigars from potential FDA regulation and unjust legislation. This is from 2012.

Well if they ban our cigars at least we'll be able to smoke pot........ :blob:

That is absolutely crazy and I think if that happens its going to be a very painful day for all of us.

To hoping that we can band together and overcome this and work our way to have our rights remaining where they are.

To cigars brothers.

Brilliant video !

i have zero respect for the cigarette industry as a whole ... and imho we need to support the facts ... in this case , it about
2-3M kids gettin into school and video games while supporting a nasty addiction.

blame Mom and Dad and the Kid and the Store all you want ... the modern history mess continues on for eternity.
while big cig tobacco wins $$$$$$$$$$$ still...

this vid has a very valid message , again imho.

Lets hope the cigar industry also sticks to the facts - that long filler (&mid too) premium cigars are a relatively harmless industry.

Thanks !

Just because it disagrees doesn't make it trolling. And I fully support what they did to cigarettes, most people I know do, and many on here seem to as well. As for cigars, while they were undoubtedly eventually get banned, I think that will be for many years from now and so there's no need to worry. Being vocal is one thing, being an activist.. that's quite another.

I certainly hope not, that isn't really the same thing in any way, it still maintains an affect on the brain regardless of whether it's harmless or not.

My point in showing the cigarette video was to point out that the FDA uses videos that are over the top as well. I have never smoked a single cigarette and honestly don't care what they do to cigarettes.

The point was brought up that Tommy's video was over the top, and my point is that you have to fight fire with fire.

Honestly I've always heard bits and pieces but from watching this video and reading posts I'm going to do research tonight and see what's really up .. There's a lot of hypocritical things going on here esp in New York .. They want to ban label artwork but allow rappers to use pretty much naked woman or naked paintings in Kanye west'a vision which these albums are viewed to children everyday and promote f#%king woman and drugs and hoes and what not to me that's a bigger issue than cigar art .. I can go on about the other issues here .. but if what was said here is legit then maybe I should become more involved .. Hmm?

PS... CRA fights for the cigar rights of all of us... if you don't like the message that ACTIVISTS post, just move on and try another thread on the forum. This thread is about supporting the CRA and their fight against the FDA. If you dont agree, just move on. Let those of us that agree talk about it.

Trolling is defined as publishing a response on a forum with the express intention of projecting an emotional response from the OP.
