Just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this forum. I am feeling WAY less newbie in the few short months i've been here. Most of the sticks in my humi that I acquired via guesswork before BOTL, have now found their way into a smaller humi which i shall use for guests who i deem not worthy (ie anyone who wears a Packers or White Sox hat in my house or who asks for coke with their bourbon... congrats, you've just earned a cigar from the "special" humidor).

Now my humidor is filling up with Undercrown's, Tat's, Don Pepin's, My Fathers and even a few Liga 9's. Although the humi and the wallet are lighter... the sticks are way way better.

My advice to other newbs.. just read everything. Its amazing what you can pick up from random threads. Even if they are about coffee... they usually come back around to a new Lancero to try.

So thanks. Great community here... and the help is definitely appreciated.

Dave

Yup, this community is a wealth of great information all a click away. So much to be learned here, and it doesn't just stop at the stickies.

PPPS, make sure your avy has a girl in it.
I'm not trying to spark a debate, and I'm not trying to be rude, but... there are a million places to find scantily clad girls online. A cigar forum that's generally know for being pretty classy really doesn't need to be one of them.

I suppose you're right, I wasn't being serious with my suggestion to be honest. I like my avy to fit my username, and I don't think I've seen a picture of Cigar spanking :p

Any guy with a username like that is okay with me. :)

Cubbies are awful though.

I'm not a sox fan. But I'm more a fan of wrigleyville and wrigley than I am of our team

Glad to hear Dave. BOTL is a great place to learn and share and enjoy the camaraderie.

I like how you select who gets something from the 'special' humidor. ;) Go Bears!

How dare you disparage the White Sox. Retribution can be swift and merciless around here.
LOL. I don't disparage the White Sox... only their oddly bitter fans (which include family members and friends). As a long suffering Cubs Fan, I would not talk badly about an organization who has won a championship within in my lifetime... or the lifetime of an ancient sea turtle for that matter.

I am definitely on the noob trade wait list.

Harrington, Yes. Yes they are.

Nice to meet you Dave! Do you have a mustache like the one in your AVI? Just wondering! :)

No mustache. Been wearing a full beard since the day i got out of the army. The mustache was for a friend who was a Chicago fireman, and couldn't grow a playoff beard during the 2010 Blackhawks run due to seal issues on his oxygen masks.
