I like 62-63 for CCs.

I'll go a bit higher on NCs.

I'm also a fan of the dry boxing before I smoke a few. If I get a chance, I'll take a few out for a day or so in a dry box and let it sit.

explain why, then, that so many 2000 and 2001 CCs are tight and will not draw, when do you estimate they will be smokable????????
Never. Has nothing to do with aging them to fix it and has everything to do with what was going in in the Habano's industry at that very time and the quality of product they put out.

I am a 64-65 straight across the board. They all smoke great I have no issues.

Tight cigars are like tight pu$$y. You just need to be patient and work through it and you'll both get to where your heading together.

I keep my ccs and ncs in the same 20 count at exactly the temperature and humidity they're at.

And I agree with MTHHURLEY, I have a few from 2000 or earlier that can be plugged or fantastic.

Granted his post seemingly attributed the quote to you and that was incorrect but why was his comment pointless or utterly foolish?

I think we should all just drop this and move forward. Seriously.

I will very simply report this and end it myself. It's opinions just like assholes. We all have them and they are all different.

So do you guys have a separate humidor for your CC's? Or do you just keep all your sticks at a little lower RH?

I just built a cabinet and was going to give away my wineador but may consider keeping it to put CC's in.
This place might confuse me/make me question my decisions more than it clears them up on some nights hahahah

Just to add to the "inanity", it is a fact that quality control in Cuba from the late 90's into the first of the 2000's was so poor that there a tremendous amount of cigars that were plugged. Aging or storage temp/humidity will NOT improve them. Just as mr. Hurley stated

Yeah but they made some fine cigars in the early to mid 90s. I've had nothing since then that's come close.

Very true...unfortunately that was also what lead to the demise. Good ol Castro tried to squeeze that brick dry at all cost. But agree with ara...I keep my CC's with my NCs. I don't roll as deep as some in this thread but I have never had an issue with my cigars. Personally enjoy my NCs in the 63-65 and CC's also do pretty well. But it is all in opinion as you can see from this thread and the couple hundred like it. Just depends on what people like....find what ya like and do what ya want:)
