A wonderful cigar. First release was the no.2, a petite lancero. The second was the no. 5, a robusto extra. The newest version will be lancero and it will released in May. There will be 2500 boxes released, same amount as the no. 5. You can still find the no. 5 at some online retailers. The no. 2 is secondary market only at this point and prepare to pay a premium.

There is a buzz about these cigars...$17 to $19 per stick...yowza!! Can't say that this cigar is as good as Cohiba Espy or others and when a manufacturer comes out with a market price like this it tends to make me skeptical. The Classic Lancero costs between $5.70 to $8 per stick and the reviews on those are pretty good but how can you bump up the next line at almost 4 times the pricing....when they come out I can't wait to read the reviews from people that aren't paid to shill out reviews for them...gimmee the every day guy who doesn't work for them to give an honest review.

You mean like the number of brothers here that spoke very highly of the PL? Or their opinions don't count?

I for one am a huge fan of the the Goldie no 5, just found some recently and did a couple box splits with some bros. Yes they are pricey, but for 2 hour and 20 minute smoke ill pay $17 to entertain myself. I love the whole family series great smokes. The lil bill to me needs to be dry boxed to really help open that beauty up!

One thing between the two is where they were made. The Goldie was made at El Titan de Bronze in Miami and the Classic line in the DR so there is already higher labor costs involved.
