Wouldn't you like to know, IL
Few possible things you could do.

Put it in basement?
Put it out of sun's rays?
Get it closer to the ground (heat rises) temps at ground level are cooler.

All I got without knowing specifics...what are the temps?

I'm having a bit of the same issue. My downstairs is all wood floors, upstairs is carpet. Hard to find a room that keeps temps to any regularity. Carpeted rooms being upstairs stay lots warmer. Summer approaching is going to mean keeping the a/c down a couple more degrees, and the humidor kept downstairs to keep from heat problems. In winter/cold months I move mine upstairs so it doesnt get too cold/dry. Best of luck!

Kinda tongue in cheek, but seriously... if the temp is always high, it means it's in an environment that is always too high. The only way to regulate the temp inside a unit that small is to keep it in an temp-controlled environment, which means placing it inside a wine cooler or similarly-controlled box, or else to regulate the temp of the room/house.

No, I get it, but it's true...besides changing the ambient temp aka running a crazy expensive electricity bill every month to keep your place cold...it's actually much cheeper in the long run to just get a wine cooler.

There are a lot of things one could attempt to keep their humi at a low temp, but in the end, the wineador is really the only solid solution.

Lots of people have places in their home they can keep a desktop cool for a certain part of the year, even fewer have a place/basement they can keep it cool all year, but no matter your geographical location, a wine cooler is really the only sure fire solution for year round.

It use to sit pride of place ontop of my fire place shelf (no it wasn't burning haha) but windows near and relatively high shelf was always over 70 sometimes up to 78+ so I put it on the floor of fire place on the bricks instead of the above timber shelf (as u mentioned hot air rises etc ) and it lowered a little, I have timber floors throughout so no good I'll try walk in pantry next as it's tiled . Who ever makes a temp stabilizer for humi going to be a millionaire !!!
