So when Eddie was up visiting LEAF he talked about this idea he was working on called the Ortega Project.

Essentially it is a side project to the main Ortega line that is being crowd-sourced, with the backers being part of the blending process.

http://www.theortegaproject.com/

There are three levels of backing the project, each with its own benefits. From being part of the blend process to joining Eddie on a trip to the factory to watch them being made!

Anyways, this is not meant to be a commercial for Eddie, but I signed up for the project and thought I would share.

Cool idea and looks like a fun project for everyone. But seriously, where can someone find the details about the different levels of participation? I just spent 10 minutes on the site and couldn't find where they discuss all the levels. I saw bits and pieces scattered throughout the updates, but no real list or details. Can you share a link showing the different levels, what you pay and what you get? How do you get involved with the Nica trip?

If you click the reserve now big red button it gives you a list of options ($490.00 gets you to Nica--plus airfare)

All good questions...

If you click on "Reserve Now" in the changing picture, the four levels come up:

Pledge $35.00 Option 1 - Blend creator: Get 5 pack of 5 test blends and be part of picking the final blend + Project Tshirt
Pledge $105.00 Option 2 - Deal Grabber: Get 1 box of the final product + Tshirt
Pledge $130.00 Option 3 - Deal Lover & Creator: Blend Creator + 1 box of the final product + Tshirt
Pledge $490.00 60 Lucky Bastards: Blend Creator + 1 box of final blend + 4 day trip to factory (Air Fare not included) + Tshirt

It works like any other ecommerce site. You click on the radio button and then "add to cart". You can take multiple packages if you want. At the end you checkout with ******, but nothing is charged until the project is fully funded. So if the funding fails, you pay nothing.

Good way to go to Nica too... If you are willing to do the $130 pledge, for an extra $360 you get 3 nights all-inclusive in Esteli. Of course you have to pay for the flight, but not a bad way to visit Esteli and you will be living large at the My Father factory.
