Take a hydrometer with you and put it on the lowest setting to make sure it works for you. The cooler I just bought only works on the top, the bottom part gets way to cold.

Sorry, yeah I have to keep mine on. I don't have central air in my house so the temp gets too high. I guess it depends on your home.

There's also this one

Edit: do you have to keep it on Jesse? Or anyone else. What if it's fine temp wise, would humidification be the only thing needed after cleaning and everything else.
That tiki mask thing is awesome lol, but to the wine coolers, if you plan on using them to control temp as well as RH, make sure they use thermo electric cooling, and not a compressor, if your not worried about that you should be fine, anything that has a reliable seal will work, so i would check the seal too, make sure its not dry or cracked.

If you're looking for the cooling aspect make sure they are not compressor units. But if you keep your house cool enough (I know if gets hot out there in Texas) than it can be used with out turning it on.

Fridges with compressors create condensation which affects humidity, and will make it harder to keep a consistent humidity.

A compressor unit, such as your fridge in the kitchen, is designed to pull humidity out of the air.

What you want to look for is a thermoelectric cooling unit.
