I don't know how I got them, but last night I was arranging some Tats looking for a 2011. Low and behold I stumble on a Boris and 2 Dracs. I have no idea how I came to own these cigars. I can only imagine someone gifted them to me. Anyone else find any gold buried in there humidors? I'd love to hear about it.

Several times. People have gifted me things where I could not appreciate them fully at the time. When I rediscovered them later, the lightbulb clicked on.

yeah, the real turning point for me into the fiend i am today was rearranging my stash, early '11ish, and finding a fistful of anejo '46. i was trying to remember when i got them, and realized they were from my first full box from '08, and going "holy crap, how did i keep my hands off these?". o)

might just have to go dig, see if i have any left or have bombed them all out...

The bigger your collection the more we tend to find those 'diamonds' and I do this all the time having 30 humidors. I'll rumble around in them from time to time and last month I saw 10 Opus Reserves that were 6 years old and nearly heard the angles singing while I carefully moved them to my Opus Humidor. This was better than finding money in an old jacket.

Nope. My stash is small enough that I generally know everything I have at any given point.

I found a Quesada espana Lancero which they made 600 of I believe and had no idea I had it. I remembered that a store I placed an order from tossed it in after thinking about it. That's the only surprise I found. I know what I have for the most part

Just recently found 4-5 Opus X Forbidden x that I won in a raffle on here. I thought I had smoked them all but they were buried in the back of my humi in a different box that I just simply forgot what was in it. When I moved, I found them while I was setting my humi back up and refilling it. I put them back in the box and stuck them in the back so I forget about them for a couple more years to age.

3 coolers and 2 desktops, but I'm so anal about organization, that I know what's in them, so no surprises for me. If I want a particular cigar, I know which cooler or desktop to go to. Sometimes I even know that it's in the 3rd tray down, on the left side.
