Has anyone ever had a retailer take money for a limited release product that they dont even have in store yet?
what happened is I ordered 2 boxes of sticks that said in stock on Wednesday, they processed the order and charged my card and come monday I still havent had a email about shipping so I emailed them and they never responded. Wednesday 1 week after ordering I called and they said they havent got their shipment in and hung up.
What the hell do I do now? If they hadnt charged me I would have canceled the order, if I ever get my sticks I will never order from them again.

CI did it to me for something they had listed on cigarbid.
I got charged, and they refunded me before I even noticed. By the time I called them to complain, I already had my money back.

Sounds like it should have clearly stated pre-order. Doesn't sound like someone I'd like to do business with. If the cigars are not something you absolutely have to have, I'd tell them to cancel the charge to your card and take your business elsewhere. There are too many good people in this industry to have to put up with that nonsense.

I am having sort of the same problem, only difference is I can't get them on the phone, I placed my order card charged, got an emailing said it was being sent to shipping and that is the last thing I have heard been a week and a half now

As a retailer I can tell you that they probably did it on purpose. They got the sale and captured the funds because they knew if they said "Hey they are out of stock but should be back in about a week or so" then there is a chance you'd walk away and they'd lose the sale. It's bad business. It takes me a whole whopping 30 seconds to go and check to see if we have the box in stock BEFORE I click the "capture funds" button to run your card. Unfortunately this happens more than it should because with online sales you don't have to look the person in the face. Because of this some companies forget about trying to build "online regulars" and instead just look at their internet sales as "gravy" or bonus sales. Bottom line, if I was a guessing man, they were willing to gamble your return business for the one single box sale....nice huh

Is it something you can't find somewhere else? If not call and get your money back and let them know why, and why you will not order from them again.

Mind yelling us which LE it is? If it's a pre release, it could just be that they don't have it yet and their customer service skills just suck... I've had it happen to me where I pre ordered and they didn't come in on time.

That's exactly what he said happened... they don't have it yet and their customer service was terrible... rude. Many vendors out there to be treated like that. If they simply explained what happened and been cool about it I'm sure he would respect that.

That's exactly what he said happened... they don't have it yet and their customer service was terrible... rude. Many vendors out there to be treated like that. If they simply explained what happened and been cool about it I'm sure he would respect that.
Good point. My curiosity for the LE is more to see if anyone has seen it yet to hopefully tell on how long he may have to wait.

Well I was giving them the benifit to make it right, but I still have no info from them. I ordered 2 boxes of cain f lanceros from Hilands cigars in arizona. I will call them again on monday and go from there

Sorry to hear about your issues. I've ordered from them several times with no problems at all. I will say this, however, their communication and customer service needs improvement. I received my orders before any tracking info.....and when i emailed them it took forever for responses.

Been a few years, but I also bought and paid for a box of Illusione from them that ended up not being available. I will add, however, that they called me the next day and offered me a better than stellar price on a cab of Epernay. They retained me as a customer.

The same exact happened to me with the JV13 release company actually charged my card 4 times and then denied they had done it. I actually bought 2 boxes locally before the cigar ever became available from the online retailer. First and last time I ever used them.
