11 over is no points on my liscense so I have not decided if I am going to actually show up to my court date or not...
That is odd Clay, most motor vehicle admin. will give you 2 points minimum for any moving violation. Are you sure that is not your insurance that will not give you points toward a surcharge? You better check that bro.

I've been gifted 2 speeding tickets so far. Both have been while on vacation with the family. They were both out of state so no points were transferred. Still sucked!!!

I've received one speeding ticket in my life ... and that was in King City, CA (a notorious speed trap on Hwy 101 ) back in 1981. I was doing 10 over the limit. Since then I always make it a point to drive slow in local neighborhoods, but on normal roads and highways, I just go with the traffic flow. Most drivers seem to go from 5-15 mph above the posted limit anyway and the local police are cool with that as long as you aren't reckless. I also don't change lanes every 10 seconds like some of these idiots who simply must get to their destination faster than everyone else.

Got pull over at 120 in 55 on RT 66 towards VA (nobody around & was on the bike).

I zooming away all croutched down...peep in the mirror to see 5 cops behind me. "OH SHIT!"

Pull right over. I thought I was done (they impound your bike here for that). He asked how fast I was going, so I told him - "it was registering between 90-100". "BTW - I have a CCP but am unarmed" (figured he'd see it anyway on my license).

He gave me 95 in 55 - NO WRECKLESS! (8 points!)

Two weeks later got a 65 in 55 on Thanksgiving day! (now I was 1 point away from getting my license yanked!)

I had previously NEVER gotten pulled over for anything.

Slow down Tobby, everyone says they come in pairs - LOL!

BTW - Since then, I got this:
Passport 8500 X50
http://www.escortradar.com/x50.htm

It's THE BEST radar detector ever (yes, better than the Valentine). You won't regret it! It's save me a TON of times.

My wife was getting a ticket for speeding on the interstate. The trooper was one of these real intimidating types, and my wife, who is relatively meek, wasn't going to say a thing.

As he began to write, out little rat dog jumped out the window and started dodging cars on the highway. My wife shrieked, jumped out and ran on the highway after her. My kids did the same. The trooper stood there watching for a second, then dropped his ticket book, and started running around on the interstate with them trying to get the stupid dog back.

After it was all over with the dog back in the car, the trooper tried to compose himself, but couldn't. He just patted the dog, and sent them all on their way.

The stupid dog got an extra portion of Kibbles & Bits that night!

No speeding tickets knock on wood. I did get a ticket for having illegal window tint on my car.

I generally don't speed. What's the hurry. I'll do 4 miles over the limit on surface streets, 9 on the interstate. The last three times I've been pulled all I got were warnings. It pays to be polite to these hard working police officers, they are just keeping us all safe. I aleays make sure to thank them.

When I was younger, I was pulled over in excess of 50 times and never got a single ticket. My family had "an arrangement" with the local law enforcement which was a state trooper barracks. Covered me over the whole state.

Yeah, I got off the hook quite a few times. One time doing 95 in a 45, another time they found some um, let's just say, um, a banned substance, and let me go. I told them it wasn't min, it must have fallen out of a hitchikers pocket that I had picked up earlier that evening.
