So one of my favorite blenders is AJ Fernandez. Most of his sticks are cheap, yet tasty. I have had the Man O War original line, but never the ruinations, virtues, or puro authinticos. Has anyone tried any of the other lines? What did you think? What about diesels, are any of those better than the MoW in your opinions?

I love the Puro Authenticos. Little pepper bombs, nice and rich and relatively cheap.

My favourite MoW though, is the Side Project Little Devil. So much flavour, burnt myself loads trying to keep hold of the tiniest nubs.

Diesel UC are nice smokes if you like Broadleaf. They were very popular here, but don't hear much about them now. The MOW Virtue is a nice Connecticut with a lot of flavor. Great values IMHO.

D/FW. Mesquite to be specific.
I've had a few ruinations. Let them sit for a month or so cause they're usually too fresh. The virtues are milder, but also good, and the puros are really good in the habano(natural? ) rather than the maduro.

I have a spare diesel in my humi I can bring you when we meet

FWIW the AJF 1 and 2 he did for emilio were flipping yummy. worth finding. also he does san lotano and pinolero, IIRC. good stuff.

and, yes, the diesel and PO are tasty!

I personally prefer the Ruination and Diesel UC over the regular MOW. The virtue is a very nice early morning smoke. Puro Authenticos are one of my favorite little smokes. The only AJ blend I really don't care for is the 1844 line.

I appreciate the offer man. I've had the base line diesel and it was good. I was more curious to the other lines.

So for what ever reason, I think the Pinolero has a very salty taste, so much that I don't enjoy them. I have some pino seconds that have been in the back of the humidor for almost a year. I may pull them out and give them a try again. I'll also give AF1/2 a go. I found some for like 30/5er so even if I hate them, I'm not out too much. I like his San Lotano, too (and Ave Maria, one of my all time favs).

CI and CB both sell his bundled seconds, which is the way I buy a lot of my stock. MoW have a separate bundle in the seconds section, which is the reason I asked about those. But now that I looked at his wiki page and realized how much he blended, I may grab his Ruinations seconds and maybe a couple general AJF seconds.

Have you had the Ave Maria reconquista? Or some name like that. I want to try them, but they seem to get up bid alot
I have not had them, but I have been sniped a couple times on cbid. They run ~$16 and only come in 3/12 packs on CI and haven't seen them else ware. Definitely near the top on my must try list, though.

So cbid is evil. It made me enter bids :dunno:

So I ended up getting some MoW ruination belis and a pack of small figurado. $70 shipped for 35 cigars. I'm happy I<3AJF4EVA

MOW Ruinations are very tasty. Strong smoke though. Dont smoke them while drinking cask scotch and dehydrated. Trust me. But they are great

Puro Authentico Maddys are amazingly good as well. Complex and peppery. One of my first smokes I really liked.
