this cigar is approaching the 20 year mark and it's pretty mellow and creamy. I had a few problems keeping this lit because of the super high humidity right now. I had to relight it 3 times during the 35 minute smoke.

There is a subtle hint of pepper/spice behind the thick creamy taste and got more pronounced towards the last inch or so. Surprisingly, the plastic tip didn't have any effect on the taste of the cigar like I thought it would.

I figure that these are at thier peak right now and any additional time in the humidor would just be a waste. I am going to have to smoke up all I have before they start to loose thier flavor. I am guessing these will have a relatively short shelf life...maybe about a month or so.:stretchgr

Feel free to send some down here to tucky. I can help you dispose of these cigars before they expire. :stretchgr
I smoked one of these cigars from 1912... The flavor was unbelievable with a tea-like character. Too bad it only lasted 20 mins or so. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

Anyone got a pic?
If you have Min Ron Nees encyclopedia you can find pics of the cigar in there, I would scan a pic for you, but I dont have a scanner. They basically look like a black and mild with a clear tip on the end and I partagas band with the number 5 on it.

wow...that's pretty freaking sweet!!

a tipped ISOM!
Yeah, they are cool. I'd like to try one some day, although they have such novelty value that if I had one I might not want to smoke it.

In the end, I probably would though. Then save the tip.
