September...the year's last run of Silver Salmon.

Turtlenecks, wool sweaters, and flannel shirts.

Hot chocolate, spiced cider, and especially, Glüwein.

Homemade soups and stews.

Blueberry picking.

Stoking the first fire of the season in the wood stove...and smelling the smoke from the neighbors doing the same.

Foggy breath mornings with mist rising off a lake that's polished mirror perfect...perfect, that is, until my fly line gently lays down on it and a trout roils the surface as it takes the fly.

I too prefer less T&A as well as a reduction in scantily cald women.
Mrs_Wasch ... you are logged in under the wrong ID. :nono:

Like most here, I enjoy:
- the slightly cooler weather
- the start of football + hockey seasons
- the end of the baseball season
- kids back in school
- the return of some favorite TV series (CSI, Criminal Minds, Law+Order, etc.)

Got one. The unit is sized to be on the outside edge of the Sq. Ft. of the house. I'd replace it but I'm planning on putting the house up for sale next summer. And the house is less than 10 yrs old, so it is not exactly inefficent.

It is pretty much just one of those "Welcome to Texas" kind of things.
