Elvis was a regular at Vegas and we always figured we could go see him any time. Never did and I regret it. Saw Frankie tho.

Also had tickets for Zep when Bonham died. :crying:

I would have loved to have seen Audioslave in concert in Havana, Cuba on May 6, 2005....smoking a Custom Rolled from an hour earlier! :tonguerol

Zeppelin, Floy, Hendrix, Woodstock, SRV, Beatles just to name a few.

Being young and enjoying classic rock, there is a ton of stuff I never got to see.

In 1995 I had tickets to see the Rolling Stones "Voodoo Lounge" concert in Columbia South Carolina.

The tickets cost me almost $500 apiece. Thanks to the USAF, I wasn't allowed to take my two days of leave, wasn't able to get the night off for the concert, and ended up selling both tickets to my friend for $200 bucks.

If someone invents a damn time machine, THAT is where I am going!

It'll be tough to add anything to the great list we have so far but one concert I've seen on video that I'd like to have been at was Paul McCartney in Red Square back in 2003.

Queen. But no closer than 20 rows or so, 'cause Freddie had a bad habit of spitting all over the place when he sang.

Billy Joel in a bar/club.

Most 80's hair metal bands, I've only seen a handful of concerts so it's easier to list those. I saw VH twice in the early 90's. My first concert was REO Speedwagon. Then it was:

1980- Bob Seger/The Rockets/Mitch Ryder, City boy/Foghat
1983ish - Cheap Trick
1990? - VanHalen
1992 - VanHalen
2002 - Peter Frampton - YAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!! I had waited 30 years to see him!!!!

Being a musician I would love to have gone to many many concerts in my lifetime but today the ticket prices are outrageous so I refuse to pay it. The local casino gets a LOT of great bands but at $40-50 each I can listen to their CDs.

I would have liked to have seen Little Feat back in the day w/Lowell George in a small venue like the old Bayou in Georgetown. It's amazing how a heroin induced heart attack can screw up a perfectly good band.

I was able to see Cheap Trick some time in the mid eighties.... pretty good. Got to see ZZ Top on the Afterburner tour but I would have loved to have seen them in the '70's. (Was really messed up and can't remember much of the Afterburner show.)

So so many...

I would have loved to have seen the Beatles or the Doors, but was not alive yet.
As a tween I was all about pop metal, but have only ever seen Faster Pussycat after they went industrial.
I was crazy as a teen about White Zombie, Tool and Rage Against the Machine, but failed to see any of them.
I just had tickets to see Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, but it was canceled

I may be the only one to admit this but I WASN'T At WOODSTOCK

In retrospect I wish I had seen Lynyrd Skynyrd

I didn't appreciate them when I was young, before the accident but their music has stayed with me over all these years.

I was able to see Roger Waters recreation of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" a few years ago but would love to have seen the original tour with the full Floyd line-up.

Other concerts I would love to go back in time and see include:

Pink Floyd - Animals and Dark side of the moon
Led Zeppelin - I had tickets in 1980 but the tour was cancelled when John Bonham died
Styx - A friend was supposed to buy me tickets for the Paradise Theater tour and she never did. I drove 2 hours to pick them up on the day of the show, only to discover she never got them.
Black Sabbath - Any tour when Ozzie and the boys were in their prime.

As a few have said, the one concert I would have LOVED to have been at is the Beatles Rooftop performance. No wild screaming girls making it impossible to hear the music or seats up so high or far away that the band would look like midgets. And of course, being at a truly historic music moment.

A couple of “I could been there” shows:

Elvis - January 14, 1973 - he did a full rehearsal for his upcoming “Aloha From Hawaii” concert and according to my friend who went to it, the venue was, maybe, half full. The rehearsal was held in the afternoon and not publicized

Blind Faith - August 24, 1969 - their last performance was here in Hawaii. An unknown group called “Free” toured with them as the opening band.

But, so many, many more that I would have loved to have gone to....

Led Zeppelin - I had tickets in 1980 but the tour was cancelled when John Bonham died.
In Chicago it was tickets by mail, first come first served. My friends and I drove down to the Chicago Sun Times building and (with maybe 200 other people also there) and grabbed the first edition off the presses. Then we drove to Chicago's (previous) main USPS branch on Canal and mailed the forms.

Woke up the next morning and my friends met me at my car to drive to school. Turn on the radio and heard the news about Bonzo.

You MUST see TOOL! Luckily they still do a few shows a year. By far the best show I have ever been to. Bucket list stuff!
