Recently was able to buy some higher-end sticks than I normally smoke, through the Groupon deal. I got some Padron 1926 #6 for about $7.20ea and some Don Carlos #2 also for about half MSRP.
And yesterday I just about ruined myself for anything else, smoking the DC (very CC like) followed by the Padron, back to back.
The ultra-fine white ash on the Padron was a totally new experience for me. I raved about the cigar so much, I felt bad for my buddy next to me having to listen, so I gave him one.
Just sharing a new experience that's likely going to result in me digging hard for deals on better cigars, and not settling for my usual low-midrange sticks (except the ones that I already know & love of course -- I won't be giving up my Illusione Rothchildes or Oliva V lances anytime soon).
