Greetings! I've been lurking here for a bit, taking in everything & learning from you all (very much appreciated, by the way). I finally decided to come out from hiding & say hello!
A bit about myself: I'm from CT, 28 years of age, married for 5 years (as of tomorrow) with a 3 year old daughter. I was in the Army for 5 years as a military police officer, stationed in Korea & Hawaii. I currently work as a security officer at a Hartford insurance company, until I wrap up my college courses (can't come soon enough).
I got into cigars while deployed in 2008, mostly to give me something to do while everyone else smoked their cigarettes around our evening bon fires. I don't smoke much during the winter, but spring through fall here is always fantastic. I currently only have a small 50 count humidor, which is full thanks to a bomb from a member on another forum I joined, trips to the local B&M, & from a box purchase of cheap smokes... Should keep me pretty well stocked for a while, at 2-5 cigars a week.
Cigars I've enjoyed: Punch Rare Corojo, Rocky Patel Vintage 1990, and all the Oliva series. I haven't smoked anything of great expense, as I'm worried my palette isn't refined enough to notice a difference, plus I'm on a budget (sort of lol).
My other hobbies include hiking, camping , hunting/shooting, skiing, and volunteering with the local Boy Scout troop.
There's my intro, much longer than I anticipated! I'll add that, as a newbie, these forums are a phenomenal source of knowledge & information. I'm very appreciative of all the more experienced folk taking the time to impart their wisdom online for us!
