My first drumstick. Lit up last night. Fantastic smoke!

But this tar spot popped up about 1/2 way through and I wondered if it was normal for this stick?

King Kill 33 laid these on me a couple months ago. No idea on their age.

I will be smoking a lot more of this Lance.

Not sure what the weather was like in LA last night but I ran into this same issue when I smoked one when the humidity outside was fairly high. I grumbled and put it down about halfway through and lit up an OpusX lancero which did the exact same thing! Needless to say I went to bed pissed that night.

I have smoked a couple since then and did not have the same issue so I pretty much chalked it up to high humidity and/or the fact that maybe I was smoking it too fast on that particular night.

Interesting. Last night was warm, a *relatively* humid, meaning not humid at all, compared to the rest of the country.

I smoked it down, trying my best to avoid putting my tongue on that bitter ball.

Shame about your Opus Lance. My B&M has them and the Lost City lance at I think $25 and have yet to bite, but they look great.

I've had that happen a few times. I've just cut it off. From what i found out, is it could be because of tobacco thats not fully cured or smoking too fast

If you shaved the first cut, you can alway cut off a little more and get rid of the tar build up. Happens.

I had that happen to a HG Corona Gorda over the weekend. I had 4-5 little tar bubbles at 2/3 into the cigar. It had been stored at 65 and dry boxed for 2 days. Not sure what might have caused it because the rh where I was at was pretty low. I just clipped a bit more off the cap, problem solved. :)

This. I've had it happen with the drumsticks. Just clip a little more and go on about your way

Hey Señor. That sux! Lol
It happens to me about half the time I smoke a drumstick. Same box, different days, different humidity levels. I think it's just luck of the draw (no pun intended) on the drumsticks. I do what others have mentioned and clipped a bit more off. Sorry for sending you those, but I do know that I have had a few out of that same box that smoked tar free!
