64-65% for smoking. I know others like their cigars closer to 70% for aging purposes.

Fine for what?
Smoking - might not taste their best but will still have taste.
Aging? depending on how you're trying to accomplish it (quick, long term) this may be fine. May not, though, if you're wanting to do it for only a few years.

I know a BOTL that stores all his cigars @60-62% and has for many years. I've smokded them and they are excellent.
I store main @ 65% and they to smoke perfect, I think a constant % is more important.

Hot topic actually. I've heard some rumbles lately from people who have been 65% proponents for quite some time start to wonder if 70% isn't better for storage.

60% is a little dry for my taste, I prefer between 63%-65%.

I think the point is to not get overly anal about RH%. It's not unheard of to store cubans at 60%. But you'll have to gather your own experiences at varying RH%'s to come up with your own preference. You may find 60% to be too dry and the cigars may smoke hot and unravel. You may find the exact opposite. My cabinet is sitting at 68deg and 63%RH which suits me just fine.

I'm right with you for the short term.
For the long term I have read alot of the science.
It's theory but higher is probably better
long term. Take my nonsense for what its worth.
