Afternoon all
Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself. Most folks call me T, and I reside in the top left corner of Indiana known as "The Region" or better known as "Chicago" if you are from anywhere except The Region or Chicago. I have gotten back into smoking cigars about a 1-1.5 years ago. I'm a card carrying fanboy of the non-infused Drew Estate cigars. I also enjoy cigars by Tesa, RoMa Craft, anything by AJ Fernandez, Alec Bradley, CLE, Nub, ...well hell pretty much anything really. I'm still defining my palate, but my top 2 are the Nica Rustica and the CroMagnon Aquitaine Gran Toro based upon price point and overall flavor. My preferred sized cigar is a toro, but I'll smoke damn near anything based off a quality recommendation.
I came up with the name Kerosene Lounge because in Indiana, the winters suck and I found myself huddled around my kerosene heater in the garage this winter much longer than I anticipated thanks to record breaking snows this winter. So I claimed the garage, renamed it "The Kerosene Lounge" and it became my "space" to enjoy cigars, while reading books and enjoying the occasional cocktail with bourbon and whiskey roots. My wife has even upgraded my chair as a birthday present for my cigar enjoyment enjoyment.
I was recently turned onto Instagram a few months back by Drew Estate Tom at a DE event at the local B&M shop, and I thought it was a great way to chronicle the cigars I've enjoyed. I take all the pics on my IG account with my cell phone, I don't do selfies or re-post memes. My IG account is @kerosene_lounge if you want to check out any of my photos I've taken. I'm sure some folks in these parts may have even seen a pic or 2 of mine.
I look forward to looking around and becoming a more educated smoker of the leaf.
Thanks and be well
T
