Is it fair to say that 5% of the guys on this thread take care of 95% of the noobs? I mean that only in a "you guys kick ass" kind of way!

And on that note, what are the prereqs to pick up a noob? I know I don't meet the noobie cigar trade requirements, but I don't recall of they're similar here.

there are only so many of us who are commited pipers, and then so many who have a deep enough stash to sponsor.

as for sponsorship, hit utah up, it's his baby.

Once you receive the cigars, you shall send your sampler. The sampler shall contain a minimum of, an MM cob, pipe tamp, pipe cleaners, and 5 samples of at least 1/2 ounce. A sample such as this will fit into a SFR.

I was thinking more along the lines of "must have a 100% rating after X number of trades" like the cigar newbie thread states. I don't see anything like that on page one, so maybe there's no such constraint here.

from page one
Requirements:
It is my belief that the BOTL Newbies come to this site for cigars, we just want to offer to expand their love/hobby/addiction to pipes and pipe tobacco. Yes, push you down the slippey slope. So with that said, it is required to have a 100% trader rating of one (1) and participated in the Cigar Newbie Sampler Thread. (Requirements subject to change)

I was looking through the past threads and I couldnt find it, I fell asleep. If I find it I will post later its my opinion that anyone who wants to be a sponsor would meet any requirements I would set anyway. As long as you have done the trades, been a all around good dependable brother and have sufficient supplies to cover your end I dont have a problem.

Probably one called Mark Twain or that Voodoo Queen. I tried to get the tins that Sean sent open for a smell. Is there a secret? I can't for the life of me get the lids off any of them...!

Spring strong sweet tall green grass grow...
Leave them sealed until your ready to try them, as once you crack that seal you should probably transfer it to a jar. I had to use a small screwdriver to pop the seal on a few tins. Just grabbed a small terminal screwdriver, inserted as far as I could, and a slight twist was all it took.
