Out to dinner with the wife tonight

Headed to Lexington ky tomorrow to look at a puppy

Working round the house and enjoyin the day on sunday
What kind of puppy?
Pugs.... They were exceptionally cute

Our 16 yr old pug passed away over Christmas, she was moreso my wife's, I personally have a nut that can hike 10m with me
16 years is a long time. I know you miss him dearly! My condolences. Getting a puppy definitely helps ease the pain over time.
That's the current mutt we've had for two years..... Just showed up
At the mailbox one day and hasn't left since, she's a little weird, but I think it makes her fit in all the better

Definitely eased the pain when the older one passed away, I can run this crazy dog 2-3 miles on my bike twice a day..... And she still wants to fetch

Anyways we saw 7 pug puppies it was madness, not looking forward to that in the house but it will make the boss very happy

Is that the one you ended up going with? Adorable! The gf loves pugs and we're considering one, though I am a larger dog kinda guy and we definitely have the yard for a larger breed.

Pugs???! Sheesh dude, turn in your man card. 2 Rotties (120 lb. female, 165 lb. male), 1 English Mastiff (250 lb. male) and a....... ahhhhh....., (cough) (cough) 10 lb. Pomeranian. Guess I better turn my man card in also, lol.

Good luck with the new pup. May you have years and years of great times together.

Lol what can I say it's the perfect dog for my wife, wants to just hang out, doesn't like much exercise, and is small enough to tote about, me I've got 45lbs of mutt that will hike 10miles, fetch in water, and still wants to play.... She's ridiculous

Good grief that's a lot of dog. I am of the mind that a dog isn't really a dog unless it's big enough to accidentally knock you over. That mastiff could level a small village!

Jay, here's a photo of George (the Mastiff).

We lost him the day after Thanksgiving '12. He had just turned 12 years old. Almost unheard of for a giant breed. Back in the day, the SJ/Philly crew would come over to my place to smoke and watch Phillies/Flyers games between our weekly Dante herfs. Everybody loved George. Those where the golden years. Four to eight of us would meet weekly at Dantes (Time Out Sports Bar), and then half a dozen guys would come to my place to watch games two or three times a week. I wish we could get the old crew back together. I think you'd really enjoy them.

We've been dog less for a year and a half, but once we make the final move to NC, we'll be getting a Dane or another Rottie.

Oh, is it the weekend again? Let's see, what am I doing this weekend? Patching sheetrock, painting, replacing outlets and switches, sanding and priming kitchen cabinets, tearing up outdated tile, cleaning out the basement and attic. The same thing I've been doing for the past 2 weeks, and probably will be doing for the next few months. Still find time for a couple cigars a day (my "reward" system, lol).

Sad news is that right before the 30 yard dumpster is pulled (in 2 weeks), I have to tear down my smoke room and toss it. A sacrifice I'm willing to make in order to get this house on the market, and get out of Jersey for good. Oh well, at least the weather should be nice enough to smoke on the front or back porch for the next few months.

North Carolina. But, I do like the reward system. Maybe we should gather the brothers for a smoke room teardown? Will work for cigars...
Ha, ha. It's only a 10' x 6' room made up of 2x3s and R4. The whole thing is put together with screws as it was suppose to be a temporary winter smoke shelter. Instead of taking it down in the summer, I put a small A/C unit through the wall for those 90+ degree days. It shouldn't take me more then 10 minutes to demolish it.

Nc sounds nice..... When can we visit!
Well, let's see. The NC place right now is basically a gutted shell. When I'm done here in Jersey, I'll be living out of my RV while renovating the new house. I need to build a kitchen, redo 2 baths, hardwood floors, tile, a bunch of electrical, plumbing, a new deck, and add a large out building. Say next summer or fall of 2015, lol?
