Lew Rothman, who greatly respected and admired Frank Llaneza, and is undoubtedly biased, reportedly said he believed the
Flor de Llaneza vitola from the El Rey del Mundo line might just be the best cigar in the world.
Aside from this hype, curious as to what the Brothers think of this offering.
Can only find it in full boxes so before I bite, any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated.
I have smoked, and greatly enjoyed the Frank Llaneza 1961, if that means anything.
Many thanks,
JR

Its been years, but I enjoyed the Flor de Llaneza's I've smoked at the time, also the 1961. .02.

Btw, JR'S website sells them by the box, 5 pack and single.

WB,
Thanks for that info....the latest JR catalog I have doesn't show the 5's or singles just the box of 35!

Years ago, this was one of my two favorite regular cigars. Very consistent and a great anytime cigar. (The other was the AF Double Chateau.) My tastes have moved toward stronger Nicaraguan cigars, but I never had a bad FdLL out of the hundreds that I smoked back then.... ever.

Thanks, guys. After WB's prompt, found the 5-ers on the JR website and ordered some, plus 5-packs of some other sticks I want
to (re-)try. Considering the comments here, am optimistic the Flor de Llaneza will be something I will really enjoy!
Funny how fast and easily you can spend $ 100 on "inexpensive" cigars, but basically just replenishing the cigars smoked over the
last 3-4 weeks.
Meanwhile building up an order for some bundled offerings from CI to audition as everyday/everywhere smokes.
