Any cigar will last long if smoked slowly. I smoked a Petit Corona last night that lasted over an hour and a half, savoring every small puff. I've also herfed through a churchill in the same amount of time because I was just huffing and puffing on the thing at a party.

All things being equal, generally a denser, longer cigar will last longer, but as has been said, there are a whole lot of factors involved.

Of course there are a lot of factors involved, some even being enjoyable. But with all similar factors; some cigars will just last longer than others.

I had a COA big block 770 a couple weeks ago, good grief, 3 1/2" hours, I had to toss it, not that I didnt like it, thats a lot of smokin'
That... is awesome. haha I need one of these for my pool days. I keep having to smoke two sticks back to back before I'm ready to go inside. This stog should definitely solve that problem haha

Fausto Avion 2011 and 2013 are perfecto grande and last me close to two hours. Another large favorite is the Ezra Zion honor series presidente, 6 1/2" x 54.

I think the cigar that took me the longest was a Liga A, clocking in at slightly over 3 hours, but many sticks can last 2 hours for me no problem.

As mentioned it is all dependent on the situations you are smoking in. Sometimes while herfing you may power through a stick due to being social or hell the opposite where it might take you longer than normal.

La Sirena "A" is a good 3 hour smoke. I like them for when I can kick back and read a good book, saves from having to cut and light another.

When I'm herfing, I can suck back a toro in less than an hour, but when I am sitting and reading stuff on BOTL by me self, I can make a Lancero last 2 hours.

Today's Te Amo Révolution lasted almost 90 minutes; yet its not much more than half th Mi Barrio in lenght. Ok their ovalo vitolas are somewhat box pressed but I started to pay attention to how I puff on the stogies.

I think Cigary is up to something. Same as driving, I think we can take habits that enhance the expérience and help make longer lasting sticks.

There is always the method of drawing 3 times...the first two draws being smaller and the last one you draw twice as much as this will help keep your cigar from going out and once in awhile blow the end of it to keep it burning.
I like the triple puff méthode. I realise that I tend to take two deep puffs; one warms the stick and one has aĺl the flavors. That seems to be suboptimal.

Also now that I think about it, I smoked once what I believe to be a Padron Ambassador that I got in liquidation at a local store and it lasted at least two hours maybe close to three; it was well aged and tightly packed. A very very good smoke on our national holliday.

Am I wrong into thinking that box pressed, having less air bubbles due to being pressed, would smoke more evenly and longer?

Pretty much tied to the smoker I think. Most Robustos will go 90 minutes for me, I have had some churchills, and densely packed toros last over 2.5 hours. Smoked a 5 vegas cask strength toro the other night for almost 3 hour. I have read other posts where people spend half the time I do with cigars :)

I can usually get the Romacraft Mode 5s to burn for about 2 hours no relites or issues, any pig that DE makes is longer than it looks, and even though i dont smoke them the Nubs seem to burn forever
Man, i'm lucky if i get an hour out of a Mode 5! One of my favorite smokes!!!! Never had a burn issue with a RomaCraft

I haven't smoked one in at least a year or two, but you are right those nubs always last a lot longer than I think they should.
